Jannelle arrived in Ramsay Street in 2005. He first plans were to take Stingray back home to Colac after he had decided to stay with Susan in number 28 Ramsay Street. Initially Janelle succeeded in this task as Stingray felt obliged to return to his family. However as Janelle was taking him back home after the pair had bid farewell to the street, she realsed how unhappy Stingray was with this development and allowed him to return to Erinsborough as he desired.

Janelle then returned to Colac and her remaining children. She returned with her family later on in 2005 and the family were taken in by Lyn Scully. Janelle recieved a mixed reception on the street. A few, such as Lyn, welcomed her upfront and brash nature but the majority were a little sceptical about Janelle and her actions.

Janelle was soon joined by the rest of her family who also found themselves welcome at number 26. They soon settled down and began to become more popular amongst the residents as they became known. Janelle’s friendship with Lyn helped her build bridges with the other residents and she began making friends, even with Susan who had been more hesitant about Janelle than most when she had first arrived.

Despite being more accepted Janelle kept more of her "bogan" like habits and continued to confidently tell people her opinion whenever possible. She clashed with Joe Mangel, who returned in late 2005 as he attempted to convince Lyn to evict the Timmins from their home. This campaign against Joe wasn't hugely successful and saw her family having to move out to the local caravan park briefly as Joe managed to get Lyn onto his side. Janelle coaxed her friend into letting them back into number 26 though and things improved as Joe left to return home for a short while.

Janelle's turbulent relationship with husband Kim Timmins was brought to the fore as Kim arrived in Ramsay Street in late 2005. After receiving a frosty response from Janelle his keenness to work at living with Janelle and the children as a family eventually brought Janelle around into agreeing for Kim to stay with them

2006 saw Janelle working with Bree to release a short novel "The Bogan's Tipped Hair". The fundamental ideas behind the book were Janelle’s (which drew on bits of her own experiences and used fictional characters based around the residents of Ramsay Street) but Bree turn Janelle's writing into the novel. This fact was finally revealed by Janelle live on Rove in April 2005 as Janelle attempted to keep Bree happy after finding out that Bree was not her and Kim's biological daughter thanks to a mix up at the hospital years ago when Bree was born.
