It’s the day of Steph’s wedding to Marc Labert and she’s awake early in the morning having champagne with Michelle and Flick. They three of them discuss their feeling of excitement at over the wedding that will take place later that day. Steph thanks her sisters for being there for her and comments on Flicks rather restrained mood. Flick waves it away though. As Lyn hovers in the doorway to the living room Steph leaps up and reveals that she wants Flick and Michelle to wear special earrings that she gives them as a reminder that today is about family as well as her marriage. Flick hands over he own present for Steph which is something blue for her to wear on during the ceremony. Things get more hectic as morning arrives and Lyn worries her way around number 26 encouraging the others to get ready and fussing over everyone. Eventually things get more on track as Libby, Susan and Dee arrive. Steph receives a call from the doctor which reveals she’s not pregnant which she finds herself telling others as the news sinks in. Tim calls in to collect flowers and Steph rushes out and tells Marc the news. He tells her that the baby wasn’t the reason for him marrying her and Steph runs back inside to get ready. Once fully dressed she spends a few minutes talking to Lyn about her feelings and then heads out into the living room of number 26 amidst gasps and compliments about how she looks.

Tim’s presence during the day seems to frustrate most people as he act’s rather blaze and flippant to most of the people he talks to. He manages to plant a seed of frustration in Marc’s mind by revealing that he may try to ask out Flick at some point during the day having noticed her whilst picking up the flowers from number 26. Dee manages to find a minute to pull Tim aside and warn him against being anywhere near her during the day.

Flick seems to be struggling to cope with her feelings about Stephs wedding to Marc and finds an outlet in Susan who takes her back to number 28 to fix a tear in flicks bridesmaid dress. Susan tells Flick that despite some of the problems she has had in the past there will be the right person for her out there somewhere. Flick agrees with this and it seems to help resolve her feelings over the wedding and Marc. The wedding group then move to the local park which had various wedding stuff added to make for a lavish ceremony. The ceremony begins and Steph is walked down the aisle by a still silent Joe. Once at the end the proceedings start and Steph says her vows to Marc. She then pauses and Marc begins his. He struggled to get the words and seems to grow more and more aware of Flick standing a little away from himself and Steph. He slowly comes to a halt leaving a worried Steph to attempt to prompt him to continue. A prod from Tim and Marc makes up his mind and whispers that he can’t carry on whilst still shooting looks at Flick. A shocked Joe Scully regains his voice enough to croak out “No” at Marc’s sudden change of heart and Steph is left looking at Marc with a mixture of strange confusion spread across her face.
