Izzy is still extatic about Bobby being in Erinsborough. To encourage him to stay she offers him a lump sum of cash, which she had kept after her tousle with Paul, to spend on settling down in the area. Izzy's good mood is noticed by Karl. He comments on it but looks a little dejected when she tells him the reason is her father.
Harold is still suspicious about Lou's recent antics. During the morning rush Harold is left to tend to the General Store whilst Lou strolls out stating he has another engagement. Harold suggests that it may not have been a good idea to go into partnership with Lou after all, reminding Lou that he has been late for work consistantly and is always early to leave. Lou claims Harold knew what he was getting himself into. As Lou leaves Harold follows him to see where he's going. His concern that Lou may be dabbling in the occult was not settled by Lou assuring him that he isn't as dippy as Stuart (who got involved in Life Mechanics a while back). Harold's trailing leads him to find Lou in a room full of laptops and dressed in a wizards robe. Harold approaches Lou and tells him that if he wasn't worried before he is now. Lou tries to explain that he is involved in online gaming but Harold this confuses Harold further. Lou admits that he is trying to train his online persona (Grimdely the grey) to a high level so he can make money by selling it, as people playing the game will pay a lot for a high level wizard. Harold still isn't satisfied by this explanation and Lou gives up attempting to explain it.
Bobby is at home with Max when the phone rings. He picks up and finds a slightly flustered Susan on the other end. She suggests that they should meet up. At his suggestion of lunch she backs down a bit, saying she is snowed under with work, but eventually agrees to have a coffee with him. Whilst finishing the conversation with Susan another call comes through. He apologises and puts Susan on hold. Lyn greets him and suggests they have lunch together. Luckily for Bobby Lyn suggest a later time than he had suggested to Susan so he seems to have time to meet them both and without them finding out that he is involved with both of them. Susan confirms this by telling Bobby, when he puts her back on, that she can only stay for a short while. Bobby meets Susan first but is surprised by Lyn who arrives in Scarlets early for lunch. Bobby spends a few tense moments as the two women are in close proximity. Thankfully they haven't seen each other yet. This changes as Susan begins to leave. Both act surprised to see the other and stammer out excuses for being their. Neither of them mention about being there to see Bobby. As they're both embarrassed they leave it at that. Susan leaves and Lyn settles down with Bobby for a drink of wine.
Bree is at the spelling bee contest. It's taking part in a classroom at Erinsborough High School. Bree, Stingray and Summer have spent most of the day trying to keep Janelle from accompanying Bree to the contest. It has worked, Scott is inside supporting Bree and Summer is outside watching for Janelle. As Bree begins to spell her last word which, if correct, will get her into the regional final Summer spots Janelle. She alerts Stingray who rushes out to help. Together they stick a hand written message on a board outside the school entrance which says that the spelling bee has been relocated. They hide and watch to see Janelle walk up and read the sign. She considers it for a moment then spings around and walks back to her car. Stingray and Summer manage to make it back inside to give Bree the thumbs up. She smiles and spells her last word 34f43f correctly. Later as the family is celebrating her success Janelle says she regrets not being able to make it to the final. Unable to remain quiet any more Bree reveals that she didn't want Janelle at the finals and her absence made them a lot easier. This shake Janelle, especially when she finds out Stingray was also involved in it. She quietly says it's fair enough if they didn't want her there and then excuses herself and heads outside for air. On the other side of the Scully's door she breaks down and begins to cry.
