Izzy and Karl are still upset with each other. Izzy feels hurt and annoyed that Karl refuses to accept Bobby. Things are now worse as Karl's misgivings seem to be correct. Attempts at patching things up fail miserably and Izzy leaves Karl alone in the flat. She arrives at Scarlets and begins chatting up a guy, Grant. Bobby enters, still shaken by his brush with Susan, Lyn and Janelle. He acts as though everything is fine but Izzy presses him on the matter. Her flirting with Grant doesn't seem to have any effect on Bobby either and Izzy snaps and drags Bobby into the office, dismissing a rather confused Grant. Izzy explains to Bobby that she's surprised he had nothing to say to her, after all she was all over Grant and Bobby knows that she's in a relationship with Karl. Bobby tells Izzy that it's not up to him who she sees. Izzy then tells her father that she knows he stood her up to go and see Janelle. This takes Bobby by surprise. He attempts to explain himself but struggles. Izzy listens to him but leaves quickly after.

Max and Steph have agreed to adopt Kayla's baby. Things take a turn for the worse when they get a phone call from a distressed Kayla. She's having a hard time at the refuge that she was moved to. Lyn is with them as they get the call. She thinks aloud as to whether it's a good idea the pair get involved. However Max and Steph assure her it will be fine. They manage to pick up Kayla and drop her at another refuge. They can't help but feel guilty though as they feel the new place is that much better than the last.

Sky and Boyd push past each other in the coffee shop. Dylan enters and invites Sky to join him as he heads off to a car rally nearby. Boyd is watching them. He scoffs as Dylan asks her as he feels it's not her thing. As if to prove him wrong Sky accepts and follows a ecstatic Dylan out of the Coffee shop.

Izzy arrives at Scarlets early. She finds Bobby inside setting up the place. He sits down with her as they drink some tea he's made. He tells Izzy he could do with a loan from her as he's had a business offer which he doesn't want to turn down. Izzy appears to understand the full implications of this. Giving him the money will mean he'll leave Erinsborough indefinitely. She takes a few seconds to ponder on this but agrees to finance Bobby. As soon as Izzy has written a check for the few thousand Bobby needs he dashes off to bank it. When Max asks about Bobby later Izzy calmly tells him that their father has left. Max tracks Bobby down to the bus stop nearby. Bobby begins to make excuses for what he's doing. Max tells him he's not going to stop Bobby running away. He does tell Bobby that if he does leave Erinsborough, he might as well not bother coming back.
