Bree is helped by Penny and Summer when her computer breaks down. Bree is keen to fix, claiming a need for it to do school work. Summer suggests it's to catch up with an online counterpart on a message board, which leads to the pair bickering about what they do on the computer. Penny finds the problem quickly and tells the others that she knows how to fix it and get the parts for free. The three kids are accompanied by Steph as they head to the Affirmacon head office and rummage around in the bins outside for discarded computer parts. A nervous Steph keeps watch and ends up diving into the dumpster to avoid a patrolling Affirmacon employee. One back in Ramsay Street Penny begins fixing the computer. Bree ends up with a dual 64 bit processor machine with 8 GB or memory.
Paul is still anxious about Lil and where she is. He receives a call from her. He tells Lil that he's worried and is keen to find her. She suggests he stays away and lets her clear his head. Paul ignores this and rushes to his car. In the nearby car park he finds David who has also had a call from Lil. David is angered when he sees Paul and knows that Paul was going to try and catch Lil. Paul dismisses David as he's keen to get going. He realises that he's dropped his keys and returns to where he bumped into the man. As he's picking up the keys David gets into his car. Behind the wheel he sees Paul standing directly in his path. He accelerates hard directly at Paul. Serena, who had been walking nearby with Harold dives in front of Paul in an attempt to get David to stop. He continues though and it's left to Paul to drag Serena out of the path of the speeding car. Paul is shaken by these events and is keen to report David to the police. Harold manages to talk him around and Paul leaves to find Liljana. Harold suggests to David that he gets counseling. David is reluctant but Harold underlines the seriousness of what's just happened.
Steph continues to fret over Kayla. She hints to Max that it may be a good idea to bring Kayla into their home, if only to provide her a safe environment for her and the baby. Max is against this though believing Kayla can look after herself. Whilst at work he's surprised when he finds her sitting at a table eating food let behind by another customer. He lets her know that he's there and gives her some fresh food to eat instead. She wolfs this down and Max begins to feel guilty at sending her back to the refuge for the night. Later he and Steph approach Kayla and explain how they'd be happy for her to stay with them for a while. Kayla is adamant in not accepting this though. She tells them it's against the rules of the adoption and the child will be given to another couple if they're broken.
