The guests on the Lassiter plane are still in the air and still unaware of the bomb beneath them. Izzy shows Paul the letter she'd found tucked into the drop down tray in front of her seat. Paul dismisses it suggesting it was probably left by a passenger on a previous flight. this doesn't appease Izzy, but after Elle denies leaving the note she's forced to leave it. The timer on the bomb beneath the plane runs out just as Dylan is about to explain to Sky about his impending arrest. The explosion blows off a large part of the underneath of the plane and the pilots are left to battle with the failing aircraft. They get the passengers to prepare for a landing but are loosing fuel fast. The residents are left to express their feelings for loved ones on the airplane and then turn to praying for a safe landing. After a few minutes of frantic panic as the plane shakes the engine falls silent as the fuel providing it life runs out. The passengers look at one another blankly as the plan begins to plummet toward the sea. The pilots advise everyone to get into the brace position and remember the safety drill, finally wishing them luck and that god will be with them. The next thing seen is the remnants of the plane in the sea. Conner and Serena surface inside the half submerge shell of the plane coughing and spluttering. Outside Susan finds herself alone and cries out for Alex. She soon spots Izzy and helps her to a floating piece of plane. Elle is spotted further away floating dangerously and alone. Izzy pushes off to rescue Elle leaving a frantic Susan alone calling for Izzy. The rest of the residents haven't emerged. Conner and Serena realize that the piece of plane they're trapped under is about to sink into the ocean and are forced to dive under to get out.

Stuart is questioning him, Scott eventually reveals the truth but Stuart finds it hard to believe stating that Scott and Dylan have had a few weeks to concoct a story. Off the record Stuart tries to get Stingray to understand how much trouble he's in. Janelle and Bree arrive at the station to hear what’s happened. Stuart informs them that Dylan will be arrested as the plane touches down in Tasmania. Janelle is furious will Dylan who she blames for the incident. Stingray tries to tell her about Roo holding him hostage but Janelle dismisses this as lies he's concocted to help his brother. A few minutes later Stuart enters looking shocked. He informs the group that the plane has crashed into the sea.
