Steph's situation remains grave as her health deteriorates further. Charlie is still unaffected by the cancer which has spread within her breast and Steph continues to refuse chemotherapy until Charlie is born. Steph asks that Boyd still hide the truth from Max, and requests a digital camcorder onto which she leaves a message for Charlie. Boyd continues to act strong for Steph, but he begins to struggle under the weight of the situation. Steph asks him to leave the tape which she has recorded in Charlie’s room. Boyd sits outside number 32 and watches the tape. He breaks down and cries as he watches Steph talking to the camera. He tells a inquisitive Janae who sees him sitting outside, that he's watching a message from Steph in which she seems to have accepted her death and is leaving a goodbye message.

Janelle and Angie continue to train for their upcoming fight. Janelle is helped by an enthusiastic Janae who helps her mother train and monitors her diet. The pair are fairly confident about the outcome of the bout until they hear a pounding coming from outside. They track the noise down to the back of number 30 and Angie who is pummelling a punch bag there. The pair exchange nervous looks as they see the vicious nature of Angie.

Lyn lashes out at Susan letting her friend know of her anger about the fact that Susan knew of Steph's illness but kept it from Lyn. Susan tries to explain her reasoning but Lyn tells her she would have told Susan if it were one of Susan's children who was ill. Lyn leaves the hospital and does some work for an understanding Paul who waves away Lyn's lateness since she has family matters to attend to. Part of the task of Lyn’s jobs involves dropping a letter off at the General Store. Harold opens the letter whilst Lyn is still in the store and expresses disbelief at the eviction notice from Paul that Lyn has just handed him. He explains to Lyn that he won’t be able to pay the money in time, so an eviction looks likely. Lyn rushes back to Paul in Lucinda's but Paul refuses to accept having done anything wrong. Lyn continues to push the issue and Paul reminds her that she is working for him and that he went out on a limb in hiring her.
