Izzy Hoyland is still nervous after her relationship with Ned was almost exposed. She actively intercepts the mail to number 22 and Lucinda's. Both are free of any notes which allows her to relax. She sends and email to the anonymous attacker who sent the clip of herself and Ned kissing to her and Paul but receives nothing back. Her relief is marred somewhat by Ned's continuing interest in freeing her from the tyrannous Paul which she has filled Ned's head with. Izzy tries her best to dodge Ned and his questions but finds herself lying more and more. Ned is still under the belief that Paul is suffering from a terminal brain tumour and Izzy continues this lie, waving away the fact that Paul is showing no visible effects of his deteriorating health. Things come to a head after an enraged Lou punches Paul after Paul had goaded him outside the General Store. Izzy helps Paul back to Lucinda's and goes inside for an ice pack. Ned sees Paul and begins to call an ambulance fearing that its some advanced symptom of the tumour. Izzy arrives in time and manages to get Ned out of the way before her lies are unravelled. Relief finds Izzy again as she gets a phone call to tell her that the person who leaked the Scarlet Bar CCTV footage has been caught. It was one of the employees of the security firm who installed the camera's and the person had been leaking footage from various cameras they operate.
The General Store continues to suffer massively at the hands of Lucinda's which has squeezed the life out of it's more established competitor. Lou and Harold manage to scrape together enough cash to pay the overdue rent for the month but are forced to admit their problems as the next months rent is due in a weeks time and they don't have it. Lou is keen to continue to fight to the end but Harold is more inclined to accept the fate that's looming. He suggests that retirement for the pair may not be such a bad thing as they could use the free time to pursue hobbies or even go travelling around Australia. Lou gradually begins to see Harold's point of view and begins to warm to the idea of retirement as Paul refuses to revoke the eviction notice on the General Store. As Lou lets Harold leave early and begins to lock up for the day, he stops to check his email. Sitting in his inbox is the same email that was sent to Izzy and Paul containing the security video showing Izzy and Ned kissing and a personal message which reads "Will this help cheer you up?".
Sky's relationship with Dylan continues to buckle under the strain of recent events. With the General Store heading toward likely closure she continues her campaign against Lucinda's via her Sky Blue radio slot on UniFM. She feels it's a justified attack but Dylan is less impressed pointing out that her narrow minded attack on Paul affects both Elle and himself.
Kim is still reeling from Angie's attack on him yesterday suggesting that he tried to ask her out whilst he was with Janelle. He finds Janelle's wedding budgeting and is shocked to see a total of $20,000. The family won’t have enough money for it even with the advance on Janelle book, which should be in the region of a few thousand dollars, so Kim tries to find a way to make up the difference. He finds it hard to see how he could raise such money from his hot dog cart but he finds another solution when from an unexpected source. A friend of Stingray's, Dex, from his film course at University approaches Kim in The Scarlet Bar and offers money for copies of DVD's similar to the ones that Kim burnt for Stingray. Kim is a bit apprehensive at first but Dex agrees to keep quiet about it. Bree warns Kim later as he begins to burn the films but he shrugs off her claims that he will get into trouble for illegally distributing the movies. Bree changes her tune though when Kim suggests he might sell the DVD's for $2 each, telling him to do it properly if he's doing it at all. A price of $10 is set for every DVD, which proves cheaper than the $15 that the movies can be bought for at the local market.
Stuart and Ned take advantage of their improving friendship after the recent arguments the brothers have been having. Stuart continues to be suspicious over Ned's activities and behaviour whilst around Izzy and Paul, but Ned plays things down whenever he's asked. The pair go jogging together and agree to try out for the local football team the Erinsborough Dingo's. They joke about each others poor chances of getting into the team but find themselves accepted into the second team at the end of the trials.
