Izzy struggles to escape the trap set for her by Lou and the video clip which shows she and Ned kissing in the back room of the Scarlet Bar. Despite her recent attempts to get him to change his mind, Lou is still determined to show Paul the tape unless Izzy prevents the General Store from going under. Since the main factor in the General Store's future is the threat from Paul and his Lassiter Company who are planning on evicting Harold and Lou from the General Store the next day. Lou reminds Izzy of this when he sees her heading into the Scarlet Bar with Elle. Izzy thinks it's in poor taste sideliner her when she's about to see her nephew Charlie for the first time. Lou laughs this off though and assures Izzy that she will find a way to help them out despite the short time span and high odds against this. Once inside the Scarlet Bar she, Elle fusses over Charlie whilst Max picks up on Izzy's disinterest. He puts this down to Izzy feeling mixed emotions seeing Charlie, given her fairly recent loss of her own child. He takes her into the back room of the Scarlet Bar and the pair talk. Izzy admits that this is part of the cause and finds herself explaining to Max how she's currently being blackmailed after Max tells her she should be happy as everything is great and stable for her at the moment. Izzy doesn't reveal who the blackmailer is but tells Max how she seduced Ned. Max is shocked and amazed how his sister manages to consistently find herself in a mess. He advises her that the only way to stop the blackmailing is to tell Paul the truth. Izzy is unsure that this would be wise as it would threaten the relationship she has with Paul and Elle, but eventually agrees and heads back to number 22. Paul’s inside and Izzy begins to explain what has happened. Noting that something big is coming Paul braces himself as Izzy tells him she seduced Ned.

Bree enters number 30 to find Angie packing, with plans to leave Erinsborough immediately. Bree is upset that her auntie is leaving so suddenly and admits that she has enjoyed having Angie around. Angie's main reason for leaving is the ongoing dispute with Janelle and Bree attempts to get the pair to patch things up. This proves extremely difficult as both sides still feel as though the other is the main antagonist but eventually Bree manages to get Janelle to make the first move by threatening to tell the publishes of Janelle’s book the truth about who wrote the novel. Janelle leaves number 26 just as Angie is preparing to leave in a taxi. She manages to get the taxi to stop and tries to explain the reason why she has always disliked Angie. Explaining about how she felt Angie stole her brother away from her when Angie married him. Angie reveals that she always liked Janelle and wanted their relationship to be much stronger than it has been and always felt that she had done something wrong to prevent this from happening. Janelle's confession sees Angie angered at what Janelle has put her through over the years but the talk had the desire effect as Angie heads back into number 30 telling them that she's not going to be chased out of town by Janelle. Bree is happy that Angie is staying and Janelle admits later that there's a good chance that things will improve between herself and Angie now the cycle of arguments has been broken.

Stuart and Ned take Connor for a carbeque, though provide little indication of what that is. It sees them driving out into the countryside and stopping at a picnic place once Stuart and Ned agree that the engine is hot enough. They then reveal a collection of meat wrapped in tin foil under the bonnet of the car which has been cooked to perfection by the heat of the engine during their trip. Connor is reluctant to eat anything from the carbeque but changes his mind when he sees the other two tucking in. The fall to talking about relationships and Connor inadvertently mentions Serena and finds himself heading off alone for a few minutes to clear his head. Once he returns his explains how he currently feels about Serena now that she's gone and how he's found it hard to move on from her and start new relationships. Stuart tells him it's the same for him and Ned starts to talk about his relationship with Izzy. Stuart begins to scoff at the non existent thing between Ned and Izzy, reminding Ned that a brief fling with a serial cheater isn't a relationship. Ned is insistent that what he has with Izzy is really love.
