Elle is disappointed to find that Paul has fired Dylan, but her father sticks to his decision to cut ties with his young protégé. Dylan meanwhile begins to suspect Robert has something to do with the accident after he finds screws missing from the shelves that fell. He tries to explain his fears to Janae but she struggles to believe him as his theories are in stark contrast to the friendly personality Robert displays to the residents of Ramsay Street. Elle continues to defend Dylan but finds herself shocked as she arrives at number 32 to see him. Dylan explains about his suspicions about Robert but Elle refuses to listen to him shoving the blame on her brother as she thinks he is doing.

Boyd and Janae attempt to move on from their break up. Boyd hands back tickets to the school ball to Janae, who is a little disappointed and panics over the fact that she now would have to go to the ball on her own. She makes it her mission to find a suitable guy to go with. Her sights are first set on Robert but Katya explains that she is currently in the beginnings of a relationship with Robert. Janae then turns to Ned who is continuing in his attempt to show his friends that he is tough enough to take on Paul. He refuses to go with Janae at first but then mellows to a degree and accepts her invitation. This mellow seems to hold for a while but dissipates as Ned bumps into Paul who attempts to belittle Ned. Ned tries to shrug him off but Pauls laughing retorts that Ned will never beat him seem to see Ned begin to revert back into his mean streak.

Katya and Robert have a second date. With her shaky past, Katya is nervous about letting her guard for anyone. She's worried about Robert as his brother, whom he is still emulating as he plans his attacks on his family, has a reputation for being a womaniser. She is surprised when she finds Robert is a nervous kisser but the mixed signals coming from Robert alert her and a poorly timed appearance of a Lassiter employee asking Robert if he was definitely going to use the penthouse suite that evening see Katya leaving the Scarlet Bar, where the pair were having drinks, quickly. The next day sees the pair in a better relationship though as Robert apologises to Katya, explaining how it was Paul that pushed the keys to the penthouse suite upon him. Amidst this romance, Robert continues with his schemes. Having effectively removed Dylan from the family he now turns his attacks onto Izzy, leaving Paul and Elle to follow.
