Susan finds herself seeking comfort from Harold as she struggles as Alex's death finally hits home. Her concern also continues to rise over Rachel and Zeke after she catches Zeke tagging a school locker with graffiti. Following school rules sees Susan calling Katya into the school and the pair have a chat similar to the several others they have had since Katya took over custody of Rachel and Zeke. Susan expresses her concern over the children’s behaviour and Katya resists her disapproval. Zeke refuses to offer an explanation for the graffiti but agrees to stop doing it, accepts a punishment of cleaning the flat for two weeks and promises to apologise to Susan.
Janelle is over the moon as her publisher sets up an interview for her on Australian television chat show Rove (which is a genuine talk show that is aired on the same station that Neighbours is, Ten, in Australia). Janelle finds herself rushing around Ramsay Street telling everyone her news. A stop at number 24 sees her getting Harold to impersonate Rove, who he is a fan of, and asking Janelle a few questions. As the evening arrives Janelle has to pick one of the Timmins children to go with her. With Bree on her mind she pretends to have drawn her youngest daughter out of the hat of names so Bree can go with her. Janelle continues to be enthusiastic about her appearance right until she appears on Roves sofa when she begins to struggle to keep a conversation going and answer the book related questions Rove asks her. Janelle’s eyes find Bree in the crowd and Janelle finds herself blurting out that Bree is the one who is behind the book. A surprised Rove asks Bree to come up and join them which she does. Rove asks Bree whether she really wrote "The Bogan's Tipped Hair", however Bree freezes up and doesn't respond.
Stingray continues to drink whilst at home and acts coolly towards Rachel's plea for them to head out of number 28 after she, Katya and Zeke arrive to see Janelle and chat about her appearance on Rove. Stingray eventually agrees and they find themselves at the General Store. Rachel attempts to question Stingrays sudden dependence on alcohol, asking him whether he was using the drink to help deal with the stresses of his Uni course. Stingray snaps at her though and tells her that she’s too immature to join him and his University friends. Rachel is hurt by these comments and Stingray seeks her out later to apologise for his action. Rachel is slow to accept his apology at first but his genuine explanation that her comments made him look at himself in a honest but good way thaws the ice between the pair and sees there friendship return to normal.
