Izzy is found by Lyn who calls at number 22 to drop off some files for Paul. Lyn knocks at the door and smells the gas seeping out from the door as she bends down to slide the file under it. She rushes to the window of the house and notices Izzy unconscious on the couch with Charlie in her lap. Lyn rushes around to the back door and forces her way in. Running over to Izzy she picks up Charlie, who is crying uncontrollably, and rushes out of the locked front door. Robert and Paul are now outside on the driveway and Robert rushes in to get Izzy out of the house as Lyn gasps out about the gas, whilst Paul calls for an ambulance to take them to hospital. Charlie is fine and Izzy only has a headache from the gas exposure. Max and Steph are furious though as Izzy appears to have put Charlies live in danger after they trusted him with her. Izzy is nonplussed as she hears that it was the boiler being turned off incorrectly that caused all the problems. She assures them that she is sure that she did nothing wrong, but the evidence proves otherwise. Paul is disappointed that Izzy has again apparently sabotaged a chance given to her by her family. Izzy retaliates against his attitude though and the pair seem to be heading for the split Robert had planned as he set Izzy up. He is frustrated to find Izzy and Paul apologising to each other some time later. Paul tells Izzy he’s sorry for flying off the handle at her, explaining it was more out of concern that she managed to mess things up. Izzy in turn tells Paul that the fact that she is unable to provide him with children of their own, a fact that up until now Paul hadn’t known, shows him that she would never intentionally do anything to harm Charlie.

Rachel Zeke and Katya as move back into the Ramsay Street after they notice Susan’s loneliness since they had moved out. This motion began with them commenting on the fact that Susan seems to be taking less care over how she lives and has appeared recently. Rachel suggests that it may be best for her and Zeke to move back in with Susan. Katya is tentative at this suggestion, even though it includes her moving in. She suggests that they approach it tactfully though their attempts to make it easier for Susan to accept them back into her home, by telling Susan that it would make things less hetic and easier for them, are seen by Susan a mile off. She’s happy for the three of them to move back in though and waves away Katya’s concerns about not getting along.

Stingray finds himself battling with his feelings for Rachel again as he joins the Kinski’s for a impromptu pool party at the Bishops. Rachel shows off her new swimwear to them all, which sees Stingray rushing off as she asks for his comments on the bikini. He heads back home where Susan tracks him down. She chats to him about why he dashed off and he tells her that he feels out of place hanging around with Rachel thanks to the age difference, with Stingray being 18 and Rachel 14. Susan points out that he hangs around with her all the time and seems to have no trouble feeling comfortable even though the age difference between them is much large. Stingray isn’t convinced and they begin to talk about the problems he’s having fitting in at University and with people around his own age. Susan asks him about Sky and Boyd who he gets along with fine but he brushes them aside telling her that they’ve settle in with their courses fine, again touching on the fact that he is having big problem adjusting with the jump to University.
