Boyd and Janae continue to circle around each other with Janae feeling less attached to her ex boyfriend. They each have separated events to go with, Boyd has a medical ball and Janae has her school formal. Having noticed that Janae is taking Ned to her dance Boyd begins to question Ned’s motives for taking Janae and is worried to find Ned’s response that he may try something with Janae. Boyd attempts to alert Janae to this but is met coldy by Janae who feels that they have nothing to say to each other. Their dances are both reasonably successful. Boyd takes Sasha to the medical event, as they both need to be there as students on a medical course. The end of the evening sees Boyd winning a prestigious medical scholarship and Janae breaking her midnight curfew to spend time with Ned. The next morning Boyd and Sasha arrive back in Ramsay Street in a cab, just in time to see Janae heading home with Ned and inviting him in. Boyd is distracted by Janae and finds himself unsure as Sasha tries to entice him to invite her in. He kisses her strongly as he gets the message but soon finds himself pulling back and telling Sasha that it’s best for her to go home. Ned stops at Janaes for some breakfast but agrees to leave at Janae’s request as she opens a letter which contains details about Bree not being related to any of the Timmins.

Karl and Jenny continue to grow closer as they spend more time together as a couple. In an attempt to boost this closeness Karl asks Jenny to move in with him so they can spend more time together and forgo the overnight backs and constant trips between apartments. This change catches Susan by surprise as she calls on Karl to find he and Jenny together. Karl tells her the news which seems to fluster Susan but she regains her composure as she leaves. After a suggestion from Jenny Karl embarks on a “deIzzyfying” of his flat which sees him removing anything which reminds him of Izzy and which they used as a couple. Along with things like bedding Jenny suggests that Karl gets rid of the watch which Izzy gave him some months back. Karl is reluctant to part with it, despite it being a Bali fake, but eventually gives it to Boyd at the medical ball which Karl attends with Jenny. Karl is surprised to find Jenny giving him a gift the following day which consists of a new watch to replace the one he gave up.

Bree continues her publicity whirlwind as media interest in her part in writing the Bogan’s tipped hair continues. Zeke find himself worrying about where this new found fame and excitement will leave his relationship with Bree but his mind is put to ease as Bree treats him as though nothing has changed for her and between them.
