Sky finds herself attending a local gallery exhibition with J.P after Dylan told her that he was fine with her seeing her art teacher. The pair soon fall back into the relaxed friendship which led to them kissing and Sky putting the breaks on their friendship, but neither seem to mind. At first Sky is reluctant to stay but J.P pleads with her explaining that he is pretty nervous about the whole evening especially as his picture of Sky is causing a stir and making people ask him questions about his artistic flair. Sky agrees and they find themselves wondering around the display room joking about the arty upper class types that are viewing the pictures. The end of the evening sees J.P suggest they hide out in the gallery so they have the place to themselves. Sky agrees to do this and the pair find themselves alone in front of J.P’s portrait of Sky. A few words later by a serious J.P about the beauty of the picture and Sky herself and the pair are kissing.

Connor’s investigation of Robert turns up nothing untoward, aside from a visit to a hospital on the other side of Erinsoborough and Dylan is forced to admit that his suspicious of Robert may have been wrong. Connor’s trailing of Robert has also been picked up by Paul who confronts Connor demanding to know who hired him. Connor doesn’t tell him but Elle puts the pieces together and realises that it was Dylan trying to prove his suspicions of Robert messing with the shelves in the General Store that fell on her and almost hit Charlie Hoyland. Paul is furious at this news and heads to number 26 to demand an answer. Dylan is apologetic at first but as Paul’s anger sees him turn on Dylan as a friend Dylan snaps and shoots back a few testy retorts in a similar vain. This vicious exchange leaves both men fuming but Paul later admits to Elle that he feels bad for what has happened to Dylan and feels it may have been a lack of faith in Dylan that cause the split in the first place. Elle is understanding and encourages Paul to use this new found peace to bring their family together again by reaching out to Robert. Paul admits that he’s trying telling Elle that he has hired someone to look for Robert in the U.K where he was last seen. Elle continues her shaky friendship with Dylan by spending some time with him later in the Scarlet bar, mostly to prove to him the she’s over Ned who is singing in a open mike night there.

Lou and Mishka continue to grow closer and Mischka finds herself welcomed into number 24 as she spends some of the day chatting to Sky. Mishka also pulls Lou up on his apparent reluctance to take their relationship towards the next level. The pair spend some time talking about their pasts with both admitting that they have things that will take time to explain and go through. With the agreement that they will both be around to hear each others long stories they kiss on the couch of number 24.

The open mike night at the Scarlet Bar goes ahead successfully though Max is concerned at first as Karl seems to be the main singer of the evening. Connor has attempted to lessen the pain of Karl’s singing by advertising that Ned will be singing alongside Karl. Ned is frustrated to read this and attempts to keep his mean persona up by refusing to take part. He does in the end though as he and Karl take to the stage and perform “A river of the sole” to the gathered customers in the bar. Karl also goes on to perform a solo song about his new girlfriend Jenny. Ned attempts to patch things up with Elle as he sees her with Dylan. She agrees to let the past go so long as Ned never speaks to her again.
