Paul gets a shock when the recent council inspection is returned to him detailing extensive work that needs to be done to bring the General Store up to a satisfactory standard. He quickly swings into action telling a worried Izzy and Elle his plan to sell the General Store back to Lou so all of the costly building expense will be passed on. This plan is inspired in part by Mishka who approached Paul the previous evening and attempted to get Paul to give the General Store back to Lou. With this in mind Paul draws up the contract quickly and takes pleasure on pushing the deal on to Lou and Mishka in the Scarlet bar. Lou and Mishka at first refuse the deal but Paul manages to convince them to sign and leaves the bar with a grin on his face, letting out a chuckle once he is outside. Lou and Mishka congratulate each other on beating Paul, expressing delight at how well the fake council report fooled Paul into getting rid of his hold on the General Store.

Katya is devastated after her awkward embrace with Robert. She heads back to number 28 and snaps at Susan’s questions as she feels it was Susan who pushed her into taking things further with Robert. The next day sees Katya apologising for her behaviour and telling Susan what happened the previous evening. Susan suggests that Katya should perceiver with Robert if she has feelings for him, a fact which Robert hears as he hovers in the doorway. Katya heads back to number 22 to sees Robert and they agree to forget about the previous evening and start with a clean slate again. Robert offers to take Katya out for the day and the pair travel out into the bush for a picnic. This sees them in secluded scrubland overlooking a deep ravine. Katya spends time looking down into the drop and Robert begins to put his latest plans to get rid of Katya into action. Putting on a pair of black gloves he moves behind Katya who still has her back to him and braces himself to push her off the edge. Katya turns before he does though and he is forced to draw back in a panic. Katya doesn’t pick up on his tense nature though and suggests they go for a walk. Some time later and Katya is back peering over the cliff edge again and Robert tries to attack he again. As he moves into position though Karta turns awkwardly and slips over the edge just managing to catch on to a tree root as she does. Katya is now hanging over a drop to the bottom of the ravine only barly managing to stop herself from falling to the bottom by clinging to the root. She cries out for Robert to help her. He hesistates at first but then gives in to her pleas and pulls her to safety. He holds a sobbing Katya in his arms and promises never to let her go again.

Lyn finds herself in a position of power as she gets mistaken by a receptionist when arriving at a client meeting for someone else thanks to Oscar accompanying her for the day. Whilst Lyn tries to explain who she is she’s directed to a chair opposite the receptionist desk. She sits and overhears the client talking to two people next to her. The client boasts about how clauses in the contract with Lassiters will see Paul haemorrhaging cash. Lyn listens to this and then rushes back to Paul with the information. This invaluable knowledge sees Lyn become more confident around her boss and she toys with Paul making him get the information from her, a action which receives a positive response from Paul as he reflects that Lyn has join “the dark side”.

Robert’s scheming goes on as he continues to target Izzy. Whilst chatting to Elle he mentions that he is growing closer to Izzy, a comment which nags at Elle who is still angry with Izzy for seducing Ned. Robert goes a step further hinting that Izzy has attempted to make advances towards him. He tells Elle that he would never act upon these encounters but his comments see Elle resuming hostilities with Izzy to a greater degree.
