Stingray continues to drink extensively as stress begins to work its was into his life. He finds himself tempted by a Scarlet Bar beer when having a drink whilst waiting for Rachel as they spend the day together. He covers up the can of beer and takes it with him whilst he and Rachel head out around Erinsborough in Dylan’s car to shoot clips for his latest University project. They stop outside Grease Monkeys and Stingray films Rachel revving up the cars engine. He then takes over as they plan to head off out out the city a bit to get some panoramic shots. As Stingray gets behind the wheel though a police car gets them to stop. Stingray is forced to admit to Rachel that he has been drinking, a fact that would get his provisional license revoked if found out. Unfortunately for him he is and has to head down to the police station. Despite initial protests from Stingray Rachel accompanies him as a friend. When they arrive back to number 28 Rachel worries about what Stingray will tell his family, as he also has a court appearance to go with the removal of his driving license, and again questions Stingrays developing dependence of alcohol. As Stingray finally admits that he needs help he tells Rachel how much she means to him and the pair begin to move towards a kiss. Before they do though they’re interrupted by Janae who enters through the front door. She fails to see the moment she has barge in on and begins to chat to them casually admitting she needs someone to take her mind of Bree.

Bree continues to press to meet her real parents despite strong objection from Janelle who is keen for Bree to remember that the Timmins are her family and always will be. Bree’s insistence only causes more concern from Janelle who feels Bree may find her real family more appealing than her current one. Bree also meets some hostility from other members of her family as the stress of the news that they’re not related begins to show. Bree feels as if she’s being punished though is unsure what she has done wrong. Janelle and Kim agree to help Bree meet her family and head off the next day to track them down using the address given to them by the midwife who was present at the time of the mix up at Bree’s birth. Bree is keen to go ahead even though her real parents are unaware that she is coming or that they have Bree as a daughter. Before they get there the car is pulled over and talk to Bree about what she may face when meeting her parents for the first time. Bree is still keen to go ahead but stops them as they begin to make the final turn to the house where her parents live. Bree tells them to return home as they are her family and always will be.

Karl continues to help Zeke with his football practice. Karl is a little annoyed as Max tells Zeke to play roughly when he makes the team, a methodology that differs from Karl’s more friendly manner. In the end though both Zeke and Karl received black eyes at the match despite Zeke only being a water boy. Karl stood up for Zeke who was being taunted by a bully but in turn got in a scuffle with the bullies father.

Steph receives the result of her latest bout of cancer and whether it has returned to remission. Max goes with her to get them and the pair are relieved to find Steph given the all clear. The pair celebrate with a bottle of champagne at the Scarlet Bar. The mood is dampened slightly when the talk turns to the contract which Steph signed the previous day. She assures Max that its fine as it was Lyn who was in charge of the project. Max heads back to number 32 to check though and returns with the news that the contract is stacked against Steph with only a small fraction of the total earnings from her baby belt going to her and a ton of complex clauses built in to Steph’s detriment.
