Karl advises Mishka to tell Lou the true about her existing marriage. Mishka is afraid to do so as she feels the fact that she has lied to Lou will jeopardise their relationship. She musters the courage to do so though and pulls Lou aside in the General Store. Lou is shocked to hear this and Mishka goes on to explain that she wasn’t happy with her husband and that is why she left Russia. She also explains that, as her husband is a political official, she was forced to use a fake passport to leave Russia so she is an illegal immigrant in Australia. Lou suggest that she keep her illegal immigration quiet and promises to help her in any way he can telling her that he loves her and wants her to stay in Australia.

After talking about his feelings to Harold, Connor finds himself back at the convent talking to Carmella. He tells her that he doesn’t blame her for what happened between himself and Serena stating that Carmella’s interference wouldn’t have affect he and Serena so much if there weren’t already problems in their relationship. Carmella takes this on board but doesn’t waver as Connor suggests that she should consider rethinking her plans to become a sister in the nunnery at the convent. Carmella declines Connor’s offer for her to return to Ramsay Street for a week to compare lifestyles which would allow her to make an informed decision before taking her final vows.

Karl continues to grow frustrated at Jenny’s devotion to her work. Her trip to Canberra seems to have paid off but the time apart is affecting Karl as Jenny pushes to get into Australian parliament. Her trip does seem to have paid off though as she is being considered for political selection. The pair celebrate in the Scarlet Bar where Susan is with them. She looks uncomfortable as they kiss but the pair are too happy to notice.

Bree’s plans to create media hype come to fruition with the help of Zeke. Their plan sees Zeke acting as a “boy in the bubble” (a premise that is based on the rather sad true stories of two suffers of very severe diseases in the 1960’s and 1970’s which saw them forced to live in a sterile environment for all of their lives and has been the basis for a few films). With Zeke enclosed inside a see thru tent and collection of pretend filtering equipment, gathered by Bree and Zeke and created with help from Kim, a reporter for the Erinsborough News is invited in for a chat with Zeke and Bree. Bree answers most of the questions telling the reporter that Zeke, who she refers to as Jimmy for the purposes of the media stunt, has lived in the bubble all of his life and she visits frequently to provide him with the company he really needs. The reporter seems interested in the story of Jimmy, though Bree tries to turn to conversation to the sequel to the Bogan’s tipped hair which she plans to work on, and the interview ends abruptly as Susan returns home and Bree quickly gets rid of the reporter. As Susan finds out what has happened she points out that they’re going to get found out very quickly and they will face problems with the media backlash when they do.

Despite Dylan telling him that they were going to carry on selling DVD’s, Kim begins to make phone calls telling people that their operation is over. Bree finds Kim’s stash of money whilst looking through the garage and confronts him. Kim tells her that he is stopping his DVD selling business as Bree reminds him of the illegality of selling pirated media and asks him how he would feel if someone was pirated movies that Stingray makes.
