Max attempts to show Janae and Boyd the problem with them rushing into a marriage by throwing them together in the hope their relationship breaks under the strain of living together. He comes to this conclusion after he notices Janae disappearing home after a disagreement with Boyd as Max got up to get some milk for Charlie. Boyd and Janae are sceptical of Max’s kindness at first but agree to go ahead with the plan. The pair later overhear Max explaining the plan to push them together to Kim and Janelle. Janae is about to confront their parents as they stand listening outside the kitchen of number 32 but Boyd holds her back taking on board all Max has said. Bree is a little upset at this news exchanges a few terse words with Janae as she leaves for number 32.

Mishka continues under the assumption that number 24 belongs to Lou. Harold grows increasingly frustrated at this as he finds himself push away from using his home as he wants to, such as having some Salvation Army friends around, and faces Mishka reminding him that he is living at number 24 out of the kindness of Lou’s heart. Harold continues to try and bring this to Lou’s attention but Lou keeps dodging the subject. Mishka surprises Lou when she announces that she will help him when back the house from Harold after he found himself finally admitting he didn’t own number 24 but lying that it was because he lost it in a bet with Harold. Lou tries to dissuade Mishka by telling her that Harold doesn’t gamble anymore but Mishka seems keen to help Lou out.

Stingray continues to struggle with his feelings for Rachel. As he’s attempting to film a zombie horror flick for University Rachel comes over and takes Bree away. Stingray overhears them mention later that Rachel is thinking of dating Garret Burns. Both he and Dylan know of Garret through his brother Warren and Stingray feels compelled to tell Rachel what Garret is really like. He is unsure about how to do so without coming across jealous and approaches Rachel tentatively whilst she is in the back garden of the Kennedy’s nursing Cassie the Kennedy’s sheep. She is concerned that Cassie is unwell and says as much as Stingray turns the conversation towards Garret. Rachel isn’t pleased with Stingray interfering though and reminds him that it was he who suggested that they both dated people closer to their own age. Rachel rejects Stingray further when he points out that they had planned to try and remain friends.

The situation between Dylan and Kim is diffused quickly by Kim after Dylan threatened him physically. Kim attempts to talk to Dylan who eventually lets down his walls and admits he has been acting up recently due to the break up with Sky which has hit him hard. As the pair sit down together at a table in the closed Scarlet Bar Dylan explains that he found it so hard to open up to Sky and he has been shaken as Sky discarded him so readily despite Dylan telling him he loved her. Kim helps pick Dylan up though and the pair agree that they will start freshly as from that moment, leaving behind the dodgy DVD business they had set up and return to life on the straight and narrow. Kim gets a bit of a shock the next day when he checks on the money raised from the pirate DVD’s which he finds missing. Janelle explains when she gets home that she bought a family purchase with the money. Instead of putting it towards her remarriage to Kim she put the money on a deposit on a house in a nearby community “Paradise Lakes”. This would allow for the Timmins’ to move out of number 26 though it would see them leaving Ramsay Street for good. Most of the family are happy at the news of getting their own place. The remarriage would still go ahead as several items such as Janelle’s dress already being purchased.
