The Timmins worry over Kim who is on the run now the police have discovered his illegal DVD business. Mixed emotions are displayed by the family with some feeling sad whilst others are frustrated that Kim has disappeared from their lives again. Dylan finds himself feeling guilty over the whole affair as it was he who suggested they push the business further when Kim had suggest they pull out. Steiger continues to press them to get to the truth and the questions he puts begin to become harder to answer. He makes it clear that the police feel that another family member was involved in the business, and hints that he feels this is Dylan. Have earlier warned him off from confessing Janelle goes a step further by agreeing with Steiger that there was someone else involved, but that the person was her not Dylan.

Karl is still ecstatic about the paid gig that he has with Ned. Ned continues to be sketchy on the details but Karl makes his own assumptions on the audience which sees him wearing tight leather pants to fit in with the rock style gig that he envisages. Ned continues to omit details about the gig and lets Karl build it up in his mind. On the day Karl is thrown a bit when Ned hands him a bright blue sweater with “Oodles” blazed across it. Ned then reveals that there gig involves a reworking of KenNEDy into Oodles and Noodles a kids entertainment band. Karl seems upset at this news but finds himself getting into the gig whilst playing with Ned in front of a collection of toddlers outside the Scarlet Bar.

Max’s ultimatum to Boyd, to either cool things with Janae and focus on his studies or leave number 32, sees Boyd leaving home. He attempts to find refuge at number 26 with Janae but Janelle feels equally frustrated with the pair and suggest that they leave number 26 as well. Boyd and Janae find a place to stay at number 30 though and have a moment’s satisfaction when they realise their Max and Janelle worrying about where their children are when they find that both had booted them out. Boyd and Janae eventually reveal where they are but express a desire to stay at number 30 and attempt to live on there own. Max takes Ned aside later and gives him money to cover Boyd and Janae’s rent, telling Ned to keep quiet about his involvement asking him to wave away talk of rent as Max knows Janae and Boyd will have a hard time finding the money.

Paul and Lyn’s friendship continues to grow in strength as the pair spend time talking about their current problems, work matters and laugh and joke with Karl about his attempts to go rock and roll by wearing leather pants. Lyn is thrown by Janelle’s suggestion that there could be something more between herself and Paul but her opinion seems to alter as Paul continues to be friendly towards her. Having been offered a room at Lassiter for the night as a reward for good work and realising that she had switched credit cards with Paul by accident when they were having lunch Lyn ventures into Lassiter to see if Paul is there despite having refused the room at first. She appears to be testing Janelle’s theory about Paul but gets a shock when she finds Paul checking in with a client that they had been dealing with earlier that day whilst attempting to sell Steph’s baby belt. Paul laughs off Lyn’s nervous stare and tells her the last thing he needs is a mother figure.
