Toadie frets as Janelle appears in court. Her plan is to keep the heat off both Dylan and Kim by accepting all responsibility for the illegal piracy ring. This sees her wearing clothes to perpetuate the “bogan” image that may be linked to such activities in an effort to convince the judge that she is responsible. This proves effective and the judge issues her with a fine. Toadie despairs at her and Dylan’s attitude towards the law and their celebrations at lying in court. Bree seems to have similar misgivings about the way her family is behaving.

Susan finds herself spending time with Karl again as he continues in his role as one half of Oodles and Noodles. Karl seems happy with these recent events, though he is a little disgruntled at having to wear the kangaroo outfit at their gigs, and he and Ned are receiving a fair amount of publicity. Things are dampened a bit when the publicity reaches Jenny and she tells Karl that his antics may begin damaging her political attempts in Canberra.

Bree’s unrest with her family and the differences she is beginning to feel between herself and the Timmins lead her to reconsider calling off the search for her real parents. She enlists the help of Zeke as she sets out to track down her parents at the last known address that has been given to them. Zeke is apprehensive about going but Bree talks him into it. The manage to convince Karl to give them a lift but the trip put off as Karl accidentally injures Zeke and himself whilst trying to load his car as they pester him to take them to the house. He is also on the phone to his dad at the time who complaining about his recent problems. Karl attempts to calm his father down whilst shift the boxes around and one falls onto Zeke from the boot of the car as Zeke reaches over to help Karl with the phone. Karl is hurt too as a box tumbles in a similar fashion onto his back as he crouches down to check the Zeke is o.k. Things don’t improve for Karl as a furious Susan berates him for injuring Zeke, reminding him the he is neither parent or guardian for Zeke after she finds out that he signed for Zeke to have medical treatment and left it to Bree to call her to tell her what had happened. Bree is still keen to track down her parents but Zeke is unable to walk easily and they are forced to stop for the moment.

Toadie and Katya spend time together having a picnic in the nearby park after she found herself facing tough questions from Steiger about her relationship with Robert. The pair have resumed the friendship they had before as Toadie tries to help Katya deal with the stress of her relationship with Robert now that the truth about his actions has been exposed. Whilst talking the pair find themselves looking into each others eyes and as Katya begins to gush over how kind Toadie has been to her they begin to kiss. Katya soon pulls away though leaving a rather confused Toadie wondering what was wrong. Katya attempts to explain that her problems with Robert may be causing her to reach out in such a way, but later tells Susan that she really wasn’t sure what had happened.

Steph finds herself keen to do something more with her life after hitting a mental block with her inventions but hesitates when it’s suggested she goes back to work. Max listens to her explanation but Steph struggles to tell him what she wants.
