Karl and Susan are interrupted during their passionate embrace by a cry from the lamb they rescued which is almost crushed as them kiss in the kitchen area of Tom’s house. As they break apart, Karl quickly moves away the lamb but Susan pulls back as he moves towards her again reminding him of the relationships they both have and the complications that would ensue if they were to get back together. Karl finds himself agreeing with her that it was the situation that swept them away and they would do well to return to Ramsay Street without making matters worse.

Stingray and Rachel continue to revel in their new relationship together. Stingray is keen for Rachel to attend the screening of his zombie movie. She agrees readily and the pair manage to sneak off without problems. Rachel is forced to change behind a bush in the local park though as she wore more casual clothes to keep in line with the pretence that she was heading off to spend some time with Bree. Whilst waiting Stingray spots Max and Steph heading dangerously near and is forced to dive behind the bush with Rachel to avoid being seen. The pair make it to the screening but they find themselves in trouble again when Zeke shows up informing them that Susan is on her way in seconds as she is parking the car having decided that she and Zeke should spend the evening supporting Stingray. Rachel is forced to hide again and she sneaks out of the door when Susan isn’t watching. She hovers outside though watching the evening through the door which she keeps ajar. Stingray’s screening is a success and he manages to be awarded a special day with a top director as a prize for doing so well. In his short speech he says thanks to all those who helps and thanks Rachel silently as he sees her watching from the doorway.

Max and Steph spend the afternoon together as Max recreates their first date which sees them stopping in the local park before getting a limousine ride to the restaurant Lanzinies. Izzy is left looking after Charlie as both Max and Steph attempt to reconnect after the mass of problems and stress that recent events have forced upon them.

Ned continues to have small digs at Lyn over her care for Oscar and how she seems to spend much more time working than looking after her son. He takes things further when he spots Paul hugging Lyn as her returns Oscar late at night. Paul was comforting Lyn as she worried about where Ned had gotten to, as he had missed the time which he said he would bring Oscar back by an hour. Ned suggest that Lyn is involved with Paul which infuriates her and sees her telling Ned coldly to be careful about what he insinuates.

Jenny returns from Canberra to see Karl who is still thinking about Susan and what happened with her during their visit to Tom’s. Jenny explains that she felt compelled to return as the news about Tom settled in. Jenny goes on to explain that, whilst she really enjoyed her relationship with Karl, she has met someone else feels it would be fairer to Karl if they broke up. She gets a bit of a surprise when Karl seems fine with this news. He goes on to explain about how he and Susan had kissed and the both of them spend time chatting as friends. Jenny urges him to continue to chase Susan and not to give up on the love he feels for his ex wife. Karl is sceptical though but things fall into place as Susan arrives later just as Jenny is leaving. Susan is startled at first as she arrives at Karl’s flat and finds Jenny alone as Karl is in the bedroom hunting for Jenny’s mobile which she had left behind. Susan reads the situation and quickly makes to leave. Jenny calls for her to stop and tells her that she and Karl have split up. As Susan hears this Karl arrives and Jenny slips out with her phone in hand. Karl and Susan stare at each other for a few long moments and Susan manages to gasp out that she couldn’t keep away. A mixture of love and relief fills Karl’s face as he looks at Susan standing before him.
