Max continues to complain about Boyd and Janae as they return from their honeymoon which they decided to spend camping at Wye river instead of the hotel based trip they had planned so they could save the money for more important things. Whilst Steph continues to accept Boyd and Janae as a couple Max still holds back treating them coolly. Steph asks them to join herself and Max for dinner soon and Janae accepts readily as Boyd jokes that Janae is already taking hold of the relationship. It seems there are parallels between Boyd and his father as it’s left to Janae and Steph to convince their respective partners to agree to the dinner. Max immediately rules out the dinner which leads to Steph telling him firmly that he’ll be there. Boyd is equally hesitant about the meal and Janae is left to bring him around to the idea while he points out that Max will be unwelcoming and cold.

Lyn finds herself confused as Paul recovers in hospital. Whilst he is still bearing the scars of his encounter with Robert Paul is as mean spirited as ever as she fills him in on what is happening with Lassiters whilst he is sick. Paul solves all of the problems decisively telling Lyn to evict and chase down those who are not paying their bills. Lyn hesitates at this as Paul continues to take enjoyment through cruel jibes and humour. He challenges Carmella as she appears in his room, mocking her decision to become a nun pointing out that he has heard Izzy’s tales of Carmella’s antics whilst out clubbing. He also toys with Lyn as he picks up on her feelings for him. He touches her hand and later kisses her as he discharges himself from the hospital. Susan is the latest person to question whether Lyn has romantic feelings for Paul after her converstation with Janelle in which Janelle said that it’s plain that Lyn is interested in her boss. Susan touches a nerve though as Lyn snaps at her informing her that nothing is going on and it isn’t any of Susan’s business.

Bree continues her attempt to find a new look as she tries to shake of her feeling of lost identity. After her “Paris Hilton” inspired phase, in which she wore a blonde which and big sunglasses, she now turns to a more solemn gothic look. Keen to keep up with his girlfriend and not seem dull Zeke follow suit and the pair leave for school dressed in black with heavy make up.

Janae’s plans to make money from a web blog continue as she documents life in the House Of Trouser. Her latest ploy to get the all important hits to her site is to hide Ned’s shirts so he is forced to wander around topless in front of her concealed web cam. Boyd is sceptical of this trick and points out that it’s a little hypocritical that she can get away with such a stunt but if he were doing a similar thing to girls he would be hanged and quartered. Ned is forced to leave number 30 with just a denim jacket but he is reunited with his shirts (which are hidden in the airing cupboard) as he and Boyd share a moment on the couch later in which Ned tells Boyd that he’s a little jealous of the stable relationship and happiness he has found Janae.

Carmella finds herself struggling with the fact that Connor may have encountered Robert’s madness after she told him about Cameron lying in a coma in Saint Luke’s. The police are attempting to track Connor down but Carmella prays for his safe return. Having made friends with Ned she offers to help him get work as a singing teacher. Ned tells her that he doesn’t have the qualifications but she offers for him to tag along to one of her weekly music rap shops at a local child care centre.

Susan has mixed feelings when she sees Karl having a drink with a few younger female work colleges in the Scarlet Bar. They meet later at Karl’s flat where Karl has dressed up the bedroom for a romantic night in. Susan hesitates though and finds herself explaining her doubts about there relationship. Whilst she agrees with Karl that there was nothing going on in the Scarlet Bar between Karl and the other women, she tells him that he hurt her deeply when he got involved with both Sarah and Izzy. Karl attempts to allay her fears by telling her that he has always and will always love her and his interest in Sarah and Izzy were just out of fear of growing old and were just attempts to feel young again. His words do seem to calm Susan a little and the pair head out for a walk together with the romantic evening put on hold. The pairs relationship improves again though and they find themselves back in Karl’s flat the next day. As they head to the bedroom whilst kissing they’re spotted by a shocked Bree who spots them through the open doorway to Karl’s flat. She was visiting him with Zeke who was heading to Karl’s to see if they could watch the football together.

Having left hospital Paul’s next step is to try and get Cameron free from the police monitoring which he is still being subjected to. Paul promises his son that he will get Cam out so they can then focus their efforts on tracking down Robert. Paul smiles grimly at Cam’s words that they will find Rob and “extract their pound of flesh”.
