Sky finds a friend in her hospital roommate who tells her that she already has a child and offers advice for Sky about how to deal with an early pregnancy. Theresa is friendly and delights in entertaining Sky whilst they pass the day in the room. As Karl tells her that she is free to leave as the staff are confident she is healthy enough, Theresa appears rattled. Once alone, on her side of the curtain dividing her bed and Sky’s, she deliberately crashes into a small table holding various medial equipment causing a massive crash and Karl to rush in. After check ups Karl tells Theresa that there doesn’t appear to be any damage, but he would like to keep her in for a while longer just to be sure.
Stingray begins to realise that Dylan has found out about his brief fling with Sky. Whilst teetering on the edge of the rooftop area where they had stopped for a rest, Stingray attempts to explain himself. Dylan steps toward his brother menacingly as Stingray tells him that he loves him. Dylan pauses and the moves, gathering Stingray up in his arms. After telling Stingray that he also loves him he informs Stingray that they are no longer brothers. Dylan returns home to number 26 where he is challenged as to what has happened to Stingray. Stingray is fine, however he is still shocked by the news of fatherhood and needs time to deal with it. When he returns home he is hugged by Janelle and then told to find somewhere else to stay. Janelle wont budge on the issue, despite Loris attempting to side with Stingray, and Dylan refuses to acknowledge the presence of his brother.
Rachel begins to question her relationship as she overhears Karl talking to Susan about the risks of a relationship with Stingray. Whilst Susan had looked to let Rachel make up her own mind, Karl points out the trouble Stingray has had in his recent past. The following morning Rachel admits to Susan that she had overheard the conversation but tells Susan that it’s not a bad thing that she did. Susan tells Rachel to start thinking about looking after herself rather and later Rachel breaks up with Stingray though tells him that she really does love him.
Dylan attempts to cover up his grief over Sky by acting as though he has moved on. He is warned against doing so by Janelle but he laughs off her concern. His problems catch up with him later as he brushes past Paul in the Scarlet Bar. Despite telling Paul that everything is fine he rushes into the backroom of the bar quickly. Paul follows enters moments later and finds a tearful Dylan who explains that he has lost everything.
Loris continues to position herself when it comes to her investment in Lassiters. She continues to pretend to be a minor shareholder in the company around Paul, saving the news that she owns 49% of the business for an opportune time. She offers a hand in the form of a hotel room to a dejected Stingray who had planned to stay on a friend’s floor having been kicked out of number 26.
