He appears to have crashed there for the night after drinking too much but he is nudged into consciousness by a stranger who shakes him and slips a note into his pocket before disappearing. Stingray is slow to responds but sits up quickly as he fumbles for the note and reads it. The message reads “Tell Steph I love her”. He attempts to pass this on to the Hoyland’s but he finds himself struggling to accurately explain events as he never got a clear look at the person who woke him and he looses the note. He is taken away by Toadie as he flounders under questioning from Steph and Summer. Toadie tells Stingray that he is aware of his drinking and orders him to sort himself out using the stress he has put on the Hoyland’s as an example of how his drinking is hurting both Stingray and those around him.
After attempting to meddle in Lou’s current relationship problems, Harold is challenged to make his feelings known to Loris. He ponders on this for a time and makes his decision by kissing Loris unexpectedly as they meet in the Scarlet Bar. She initially tries to brush off his question but then admits that she has done some terrible things since the Cam’s accident. She begins to explain what she means but pulls back at the last moment. When Dylan sees her again later he laughs thinking her previous honesty was an attempt to confuse and trick him. He thinks Elle was trying to get him to agree to her proposed changes to Lassiters. Elle informs him that she still loves him and wants him to make up his own mind about the plans for the business.
Mishka attempts to rally Harold to her side as she battles for Lou. She wins favour with him by offering a case full of his favoutire cordial in exchange for Harold attempting to push Lou towards Mishka. Harold is reluctant to do so but finds himself agreeing that a few words with Lou wouldn’t hurt. Despite Harold’s attempts Lou seems keen to retain his relationship with Janelle instead of picking things up with Mishka. The conflict becomes messy after Dylan tells Mishka that Janelle is only playing with Lou and that her heart really lies with Kim. Mishka then sends a bunch of flowers to Number 26 with a fictional message from Kim. This has the desired effect of confusing Janelle who is distracted enough by the gift that it puts an end to a romantic evening she had planned with Lou. After a conversation with Dylan Janelle realises that the flowers were from Mishka and attempts to retaliate. Whilst Lou is in the General Store with Mishka, Harold enters having been outside cleaning the tables. He has a note for Lou which contains a brief printed missive which claims to be from Mishka’s husband Igor. It warns Lou that he is aware of what is happening and that Igor has friends in Australia who could intervene if it continued. Along with the note is a single bullet.
