As he leaves the Scarlet Bar, Karl finds Ned sprawled on the ground after his attempts to prevent Katya from stealing Karl’s car. He helps Ned up and calls the police as they head to the surgery to get Ned checked out for injuries. Katya pulls the car in near by as she gets over the shock of being confronted by Ned. Her problems deepen as she spots Karl’s Erinsborough Hospital work badge hanging inside the car and she hears the sirens of the police attempting to track her down. Katya is forced to ditch the car as the police close in. She manages to evade the officers and returns quickly to Ramsay Street. This leaves her able to emerge from her bedroom in her bed clothes as Karl returns home with Ned to explain what has happened.

Janae grows fearful as Boyd continues to pull away from her. His behaviour continues to raise questions as he shrugs off the fact that he caught Steph kissing Toadie in number 32. Janae is furious with Steph for moving on so quickly but Boyd is more understanding saying it is often easy to make such mistakes in the heat of the moment. Janae’s frustration with Boyd continues as he refuses any physical contact with her and leads her to demand that he tell her what is going on.

Elle finds the tables turned on her as Boyd attacks her in the same way that she attacked Max. Having come to the conclusion that Elle set Max up, he attempts to undermine her sanity in a similar way. He sneaks into number 22 and uses her purse to set Elle up. He uses her phone to send a text message and takes her car keys as he retreats from the house. Boyd’s plans see Elle forced to accept his misdeeds as hers after he points out that she can’t tell anyone about Boyd’s actions without the link between her and Max’s problems being found.

An enthusiastic Pepper takes Rosetta to one side and encourages her to dress more attractively so the pair of them can snag their men. Pepper is keen to set Rosie up with Will to give her a free hand at attracting Frazer. Pepper’s idea of a shopping trip is met by reluctance from Rosie who is less comfortable in wearing lingerie even if it is to entice Will.

Paul returns to Australia after his trip to America. He finds himself having to deal with Elle as Boyd’s attacks on her begin to affect Lassiters. Lyn grows concerned as Paul acts distracted as they spend time together.

Toadie and Steph find themselves awkward around each other after their kiss. Toadie moves out of number 32 to give Steph some space. He puts himself on the line as he tells Steph that he has real romantic feelings for her. Steph seems alarmed by this confession and explains to her friend that the kiss should never have happened.
