The results of the paternity of Kerry Mangel show that Dylan is her father. Karl begins to announce the results however bickering between Stingray and Dylan leads Sky to demand that everyone leave the room except her and Karl. After she knows the results she then calls Stingray into the room to tell him the results. Those gathered outside Karl’s office see this as a sign that Stingray is the father and Dylan leaves as soon as they disappear into the office, shocked as he was sure that he was Kerry’s father.
Paul is amused as Lyn tells him that she is leaving him and explains she is doing so as she knows that he cheated on her thanks to the call from Flick to tell her about the young women who he spent time with in New York. Paul encourages her to leave telling her the take an engagement ring, who the women was helping him pick one out whilst he was in America. Lyn is stunned into silence with this revelation and Paul takes the opportunity to get down on one knee and ask her to marry her.
After the news that he is not Kerry’s father Stingray finds himself reaching for the comfort of alcohol. His initial reasons for getting on the wagon were his desire to be there for Sky and Kerry. Will keeps an eye on Stingray as he battles with his worries whilst sitting at a table in the Scarlet Bar with a glass of beer in front of him. Instead of drinking he returns home and uses the ready support from Loris and Janelle who encourage him to stay sober and let them help him through this difficult time. Dylan is less sympathetic towards his brother though and enjoys belittling Stingray now that the paternity of Kerry has been revealed.
Lou and Mishka embark on a scheme to defraud the immigration department to allow Mishka to stay in Australia. This sees them both donning 80’s style clothing to help them pretend that they have known each other for 20 years in an effort to boost their chances of Mishka being allowed to stay in the country.
Will and Frazer get more than they bargained for as they join Steiger on a camping weekend in the Australian outback. Expecting a relaxing few days in a plush tent and bought meals they are alarmed as Steiger introduces his more manly plans for the weekend. They find they will be sharing a small tent full of holes and will have to hunt for their dinner using a cross bow.
After the damage his mistakes had been made are fully realised, Karl worries about the repercussions due to the mix up over Kerry’s paternity. Stingray makes it clear that he blames Karl for the recent problems in his life and Janelle’s threat of legal action looms heavily in the air. Susan promises Karl that they will work through any problems together, even selling the house if they need to.
With the revelation that Dylan plans to fight hard for custody of Kerry, Sky panics and leaves to visit her family out in the countryside. Harold tells Sky that visiting Joe and Toby will only exacerbate problems but Sky is keen to get away from her worries even if this is only for a short while.
