The news of Rosie and Pepper’s kiss spreads quickly amongst their friends after the event is witnessed by a stunned Ringo. He tells Frazer that he has massive news but should keep it to himself and then blurts it out moments later despite Frazer’s disinterest in his words. Frazer begins to join dots as the news settles in and he begins to worry as to why both Pepper and Rosetta seem to have switched from men to women shortly after dating him. His fears see him tell Oliver the news who teases Frazer suggesting that he may have been a “gateway date” for both of them. At Frazer’s confusion he elaborates explaining that a gateway date occurs when a man is so in tune with his feminine side that he can encourage any woman to become gay. Frazer spends much of the rest of the episode assuring everyone that it’s not his fault and attempts to prove this by flaunting his masculine side, lifting weights in the living room of number 30 and leaping on the chance to help Steph do some DIY.

In the embarrassed silence after their kiss, Pepper runs from number 30. She spends time at the garage hiding out from further contact with Rosie. She and Janae begin to talk however they both act aggressively as the move close to each others suppressed fears. Janae is too hands on when talking to Pepper which causes her to snap at her. Pepper meanwhile chastises Oliver behind his back for resuming things with Carmella after she cheated on him with Dylan. Janae attempts to defend them as Pepper’s comments fall close to her problems with Boyd. When they stop at the General Store later both mention what is on their minds. Janae agrees with Pepper’s assessment that the kiss with Rosie was just a spur of the moment thing and meant nothing. Pepper uses this to encourage Janae to put Boyd’s kiss with Glenn behind her.

Paul spends time with Ned as he continues to use Ned’s gambling debts to make him carry out tasks in exchange for money. Ned isn’t happy at Paul’s company however Paul insists he allow him to purchase furniture for that flat that Paul is letting Ned stay in. Ned’s suspicion of Paul remains however he goes along and they return to a fully equipped flat. Paul continues to encourage Ned as he gets him to invite two saleswomen they met to call by the flat. Ned is cold throughout the evening and his scepticism of Paul is proven correct as Paul ends the evening with a request for a favour from Ned. Ned tries to wash his hands of Paul, however Paul calmly warns him that he will take all of Ned’s new possessions back and kick him out of the flat if he doesn’t play along. Paul’s request sees Ned attacking him as planned as he walks around the Lassiter complex. Rosetta, Carmella, Oliver and Frazer are nearby as the attack occurs and rush over to his side as they see him fall down.

Rosetta finds herself as flustered as Pepper by the kiss. She finds further embarrassment as she works with Toadie. She sees Steph pull up near the Lassiter complex on her motorbike. Rosie begins to tell Toadie about how attractive she finds a man on a bike gesturing to Steph as an example. Toadie listens thoughtfully and chuckles as Steph removes her helmet and shakes out her hair. Eventually Rosetta and Pepper bump into each other and they attempt to clear the air. They both agree that it was a spur of the moment mistake. They both agree that the kiss should not be mentioned to anyone else.

Ringo continues in his attempts to attract Rachel. His efforts prove fairly fruitless as she brushes him off with ease. Janae advises that he be straight with Rachel as she values honesty. He does this by writing her a second anonymous poem as he notices her still holding onto the Valentines Day card that he left for her. In it he gets her to meet him at the General Store. The meeting quickly falls apart as Rachel accuses Ringo of playing games. He tries to explain to her that he was genuine in his missives but Rachel quickly turns and leaves him.
