Steph finds herself in the middle of Toadies relationship as she sees Abby with another man. Steph challenges Abby over this and Abby’s response, that it was business, doesn’t rid Steph of her concern. Steph continues to fret over this as she sees Toadie growing close to Abby. She comes to a decision and tells Toadie of her suspicions as he stops by the Scarlet Bar. Toadie reacts badly to Stephs news telling her that he is disappointed with her judgement and her attempts to meddle with his personal life. He admits to Abby later that he is a little unsure about her work as an escort and that it does mean she will spend time with lots of other men. Abby assures him that her work is only keeping others company and she is happy when Toadie confesses that his main fear is that she will fall for someone else she dates as it shows that Toadie cares about their relationship.

Paul continues his quasi friendship with Ned and spends much of his free time at the flat he is letting Ned stay in. Whilst Paul keeps Ned’s name from their discussions he does inform Elle about the fake mugging. Glenn overhears part of their conversation and Elle lies to smooth things over but is given food for thought as Glenn confides that she fears that Elle is being led astray by her father.

Frazer and Oliver help Carmella out as she actively begins marketing her family’s fruit business which she is trying to revitalise. Having successfully gotten a contract with the General Store Carmella sets her sights on Steph and the Scarlet Bar. She offers Steph some of her produce for free as part of her aggressive marketing plan. Frazer and Oliver get sidetracked into helping Steph doing odd jobs in the Scarlet Bar after Frazer offered his help after news of Rosetta “turning” reached him. Oliver spends the time encouraging Frazer to move on from Rosie. Frazer is reluctant though and not even the droves of female admirers who come to watch him working half naked, thanks to Carmella encouraging Steph to turn up the heating in the bar, can shake him from his musings.

Glenn and Boyd continue in their awkwardness whenever they are near each other. They do their best to stay out of each others way but Elle’s scheming and the close proximity between them means they keep bumping into each other. Boyd gets a shock as he sees Glenn on campus as he heads between University lectures. She tells him that she is attempting to catch a lecture by a guest teacher who she missed whilst he was visiting Tasmania. Boyd reluctantly agrees to take her to the lecture theatre in question as he explains that the lecture is on his course. Glenn attempts to ease the tension between them as Boyd agrees that there shouldn’t be a problem between them. Her relaxed attitude sees Boyd snap quickly as he tells her that he is not happy about her stay in Erinsborough. He goes on to explain that it is putting a strain on his marriage and that it would be best if Glenn returned Tasmania quickly. Glenn finds herself at the garage later as she attempts to get an update of the garage works on her car from Janae. Glenn tells her that she is planning to leave once her car is done however Janae’s cold attitude antagonises her and their conversation grows more aggressive. In the exchange Glenn informs Janae that she and Boyd did more than kiss in Tasmania and spent two weeks together in which they shared “body and sole”. Janae takes this truth to Boyd and demands his side of the story. He appears to sense Janae’s keenness for Glenn’s words to be a lie and he pretends that they are.
