Boyd is torn between Glenn and his marriage as the truth about his affair comes out. He reverses his initial lie to Janae after he receives a phone call from Glenn who tells him that she is leaving but encourages him to tell Janae the truth about them. Boyd heads back into the back office of the Scarlet Bar and explains everything to Janae. Janae listens in stunned silence as he tells her that he was in a relationship with Glenn whilst in Tasmania. Boyd quickly asks her if their relationship is over as the silence after he finishes lengthens. Janae is wary of his promises that he is sorry as she has heard similar sentiments from her father when his relationship with Janelle was in trouble. She informs Boyd that she will give their relationship a final try if only so that she doesn’t look back and wonder “what if” in the future.

Spurned by Rachel again, Ringo turns to Lolly who offers her friendship as she notices his troubles with Rachel. His acceptance of Lolly frustrates Rachel a fact that Zeke attributes to her feelings for him. Ringo and Lolly spend time at number 24 eating chocolate chip ice cream. Lou is preparing for his first international flight with Bonz Air and he announces that Sandy will be staying in Ramsay Street during his absence to keep an eye on Lolly. Lolly’s fear as he mentions her step mother is noted by Ringo and he quickly questions her about it when they are alone. Lolly confides in Ringo, telling him about the abuse her stepmother has given her and the innocence of Pepper. Ringo encourages Lolly to tell Lou everything however she keeps things to herself and Ringo is unable to interfere as he realises this after Lou has left the street.

Elle continues to involve herself in Glenn’s life as Glenn admits that she is considering leaving Ramsay Street for good. Elle spies on a conversation between Glenn and Boyd and encourages her friend to fight for Boyd as Glenn admits that Boyd has yet to tell her that she means nothing to him. Glenn is sceptical of Elle’s motives and suggest that she may be simply using her to get at the Timmins family. Elle assures Glenn that she isn’t and displays genuine desire for her best friend to stay in Erinsborough. Elle explains that the rest of the street dislikes her and having Glenn around makes her feel a little better about herself. Glenn informs Boyd of her plans to stay and Boyd finds himself passing this on to Janae as she states her assumption that Glenn will be leaving Ramsay Street as soon as her car is fixed. Janae is wary as Boyd passes on the news and her fears are confirmed as Boyd admits that his fling with Glenn was serious. Boyd is unable to answer Janae’s question of whether he loves Glenn completely and offers an uneasy “mabye”.

Karl and Susan attempt to utilise Susan’s Christmas present from Karl which were two tickets to London. They get a pleasant surprise when they find out Lou will be one of the attendants on their flight which is to Moscow via London. Karl finds a “cured” Lou in the airport toilets attempting to psyche himself up before the flight. Karl attempts to confront Lou about his continued fear of flying but they are interrupted by Susan who barges into the mens room and explains that they won’t be flying to England as their flight has been overbooked and puts it down to the dodgy operations of Bonz Air. Karl and Susan are forced to postpone their trip and return to number 28. Once home they find Lolly, Rachel and Zeke hosting a large party in their back garden. Susan finds the event amusing but Karl isn’t as impressed and the youngsters are put to tidying up the mess they and their peers caused.
