Ringo continues to approach his relationship with Rachel cautiously. He notices her spending time laughing with Stingray and over compensates as jealousy of the ease in interaction between the pair takes hold. Ringo notes the fun Rach has with Stingray and how he and Rachel never laugh together. His worry crops up again as they begin to kiss. To Rachel’s alarm Ringo suggests they move to the bedroom after a few moments kissing in the hallway of number 30. The pair begin to argue as Rachel voices her displeasure and Ringo admits that the suggestion came as he assumed that Rachel had been in a mature relationship with Stingray given his age. He quickly backs down and Rachel points out that his concern about Stingray is unfounded as she has chosen Ringo.
Boyd gets a surprise as he begins to adjust to life with Glenn who moves into number 32 now that they are an item. Glenn cooks a pasta dinner for her and Boyd and they settle down for the meal as she tells Boyd that she has two bits of news. She explains that her parents have finished renovating their beach house and suggests that they consider moving there permanently. The sudden suggestion of moving to Tasmania throws Boyd and his lack of enthusiasm at the idea is seen on his face as he begins to point out reasons why he needs to stay in Erinsborough. At Boyd’s negative response Glenn retracts the suggestion and waves away her second bit of news which she shows is the possibly that she may be pregnant by taking a pregnancy test later whilst Boyd heads to the Scarlet Bar to cover shift problems. Boyd returns just as Glenn is waiting on the results and she quickly hides it in the bin as he enters the kitchen of number 32 where she had been waiting for the result. She attempts to take the rubbish to the bin outside, however Boyd steps in and offers to do the task for her pointing out that she had cooked and cleaned for him that evening so it’s the least he could do. Glenn attempts to retrieve the test the next day however Boyd inadvertently foils her again as he notices her picking at the bin back in the wheelie bin out in the street. He plucks the bag from Glenn and tells her that he will throw it out at work.
Kerry’s friends and family gather at the hospital as Dr. Marley tells Sky and Dylan that she has some news. The wait is an anxious one as they remain unaware as to whether the transplant has been a success. Dr. Marley arrives and talks to Dylan and Sky alone. She tells them that nothing is certain yet but all signs suggest that the transplant has been successful and that Kerry is not rejecting the new bone marrow. The good news lifts a weight of those who have been keeping a vigil ever since Kerry was diagnosed with leukaemia. The cheer continues as Sky tells Harold that her visions of a Timmins death have stopped and Zeke passes the message to Bree about Karl and Susan’s pending marriage. A party takes place in Ramsay Street the following day planned as a birthday bash for Janelle but extended into a general celebration of good spirits. The party is kept a surprise and Janelle wanders into the street in pyjama’s to complain about the noise only to find her children, Rachel, Ringo, Zeke and Sky yelling happy birthday at her. A while later and Janelle says a few words thanking everyone for the effort and telling her friend and family how much she loves them. As she finishes, she jumps at the chance to kick of the traditional Timmins Colac dance. Everyone joins in, however Stingray declines Sky’s offer to join her and makes his way slowly to one of the chairs set out for the party. He sits smiling in the sun watching those he loves dancing in front of him. Moments later Stingray’s hearing fades. Janae and Bree peel away from the dancing and approach their brother. They laugh as it seems he has dozed off, however as shaking fails to rouse Stingray they become concerned. The others are called over as Stingray stays slumped in his chair and they begin rush to his side as Janelle cries out her sons name in desperation for his to awaken.
