Elle brushes away Ned’s offer of running from Ramsay Street to distance them from Paul’s influence. She tells him over the phone that she is content with the scheming and plotting, however her actions suggest that Ned’s words had struck a chord with her. Lacking Paul’s watchful eye, she pulls away from Oliver and her plan to seduce him to gain access to his family fortune. He change of heart falters as Paul returns and encourages her to stick to their plan. He hides his conflict from Dylan, which has left his hands bloody from the climb back up to the cliff edge after Dylan threw him to his death. As Elle continues to hesitate with Oliver, Paul snarls what happened. He waves away her concern explaining that Dylan’s ability to exploit his weaknesses so efficiently is the exact aggression he is trying to school Elle against.
Frazer and Rosie continue to clash with Frazer back by Oliver and Rosetta by Pepper. The tension spills over into number 30 as the four of them chaff whilst living together. The girl’s constant judging sees Oliver and Frazer decide to put their Ramsay Street romances firmly behind them. Oliver encourages Fraze to put this into practice as they spot Milly at a table in the Scarlet Bar. Frazer is pushed towards Milly by Oliver and his frantic apology convinces Milly to give him a second chance. As they order drinks they are disturb by Pepper and Rosie who enter the Scarlet Bar to buy some wine. They begin arguing again and Pepper decides to take action about the snide comments about their lack of social life as Oliver correctly guesses that they are about to buy cheap wine for a evening watching DVD’s at home. At short notice Pepper fills the house with party goers to prove that she and Rosie are just as outgoing as Frazer and Oliver. Hostilities are suspended the following morning as Rosetta extends and olive branch to Frazer. He is lacking transport to get to the local race track and Rosetta offers to drive him. They slip back into the strong friendship they had shared until their recent romantic split. This peace is fairly short lived as they find themselves squabbling as they watch the horses sprint around the small track. Frazer spots a young girl wandering out in front of the horses as they thunder towards her part of the race track. He cuts away from Rosie and dashes onto the track. He runs towards the girl yelling at her to get out of the way. She understands however Frazer finds himself in her position and is crushed by the horses. He falls to the ground with his legs bent away from him.
Toadie makes the decision to withhold the news of Stingrays death from Karl and Susan in the interests of them enjoying their break in London. Rachel and Zeke aren’t happy with this choice but reluctantly agree omitting the fact as they all talk to Susan as she rings to check up on them. A phone call from Steph sees Toadie assuring her that everything is fine. As the call ends he slowly moves across to the number 28 sofa and sags onto it. Rachel and Zeke move to sit either side of him and encourage him to let his emotions out. Toadie keeps his composure for several moments before he breaks down into tears over the death of Stingray.
Karl bumps into another celebrity in London. Susan disappears to buy several postcards for family and Karl finds himself standing next to TV show host Michael Parkinson. He stammers his admiration of the star and gets him to sign his tour guide. Susan returns moments after Parky disappears and is frustrated to have missed him. She isn’t impressed at the Izzy filled tabloid Karl has in hand. He insists on buying it and disappears inside the pier newsagents they are stopped at. As Susan waits for him Izzy appears behind her. Izzy attempts to put on a brave face, however Susan quickly deduces the desperation of her situation. She is sympathetic towards Izzy but Karl responds coldly towards their former Neighbour. Susan pulls him aside and suggests they try to help Izzy. Karl points out that he vowed never to be sucked in by Izzy Hoyland ever again.
