The new doctor Charlotte Stone continues to integrate herself into the Erinsborough community. Her reluctance to give medical diagnosis’s remains as she suggests that her patients look to the non traditional treatments she has studied. Panic appears to set in as Charlotte arrives for her first full day at work. She is faced with a full room of patients coupled with the absence of Boyd acting as her receptionist. She struggles through until Boyd arrives. His apology is waved away as Charlotte instructs him to sit in with her as she diagnoses patients so he can give his medical input. The mystery of Charlotte Stone continues as she massages Paul to help treat his stress. Paul flirts with her as in their previous session however Charlotte is more receptive this time around but she receives a phone call and leaves Paul hanging as he picked up on her eagerness. The call is to Charlottes mobile and she steps out of the office she was treating Paul into the shared lobby with Tim Collin’s and Associates. There she drops all pretences and informs that person on the other end that Paul is ideal for their scam due to the fact that he’s rich and very full of himself.

Boyd attempts to salvage his marriage as Janae pulls away from him. His romantic meal in the back room of the Scarlet Bar quickly turns into a final break up and Boyd fights to maintain control as Janae tells him it’s over. Having said her piece, she attempts to leave however Boyd moves towards her and closes the door she is trying to leave through. Janae is startled by the move however Boyd keeps the situation calm as he pleads with her to give him a second chance. Her negative response raises tensions again and Boyd attempts to seize Janae who demands that he let her free. Steph is heard through the door having returned home from her wine tasting trip. She asks if everything is okay and eventually barges through into the back room despite Boyd’s assurances that everything is ok. Janae is shaken by events and leaves for home as soon as Steph has the door open. Boyd is left to reflect on the failure of his marriage. Steph sits with him as he begins to cry as he relises the pain of loosing Janae so completely. He tells Steph that he made a massive mistake in distancing himself from his marriage and struggles to see a way to move on. Janae finds herself expressing similar distress over the end of their relationship to Janelle back in number 26. Janae’s resolve that things are over remains however her marriage was such a large part of her life, moving beyond it will prove difficult at first.

Pepper receives another gift from Kevin. A sealed envelope contains a tape of a recorded phone conversation between her and Kevin several years ago whilst they were still in their relationship. Similar to the love note sent previously, the tape consists of a young Pepper filled with childish dreams and fantasies about the life she and Kevin could have together. The timing and the fact that the message was preserved fills Pepper with nothing but fear and she turns to Steiger for comfort and he promises to do everything possible to bring Kevin justice. The search for Kevin is given a massive boost as Paul stops at number 30 to hand over information he’s gotten about Kevin’s whereabouts. Steiger frowns Pepper points out that Paul was able to beat the police at finding Kevin due to his use of money and dodgy connections however the information leads to the locate and arrest of Kevin. Steiger questions him at the local police station. Kevin reacts coldly as Pepper is brought up and challenges Steiger to prove his guilt as he is accused of stalking. Steiger cannot, however a series of other crimes linked to Kevin thanks to fingerprints taken during his arrest allow for Kevin to be kept in police custody. Pepper pays a visit to Mary Casey to pass on the news of her son’s arrest. Mary is apologetic for the trouble caused by Kevin however a more sinister side to Mary is revealed as Pepper leaves her a while later. Mary retires to a large room in her house which is decorated as if it were a crèche. There are clowns scattered around the room and Mary sits on the edge of a single bed rocking back and forth gently as she listens to the recording of a young Kevin and Pepper expressing their love for each other.

Abby admits to Toadie that she lied about needing money from him. The truth came as she considered attempting to demand more money, using Toadie’s guilt at taking her away from her high paying escort job to her advantage. Abby came clean as Steph arrived back in Erinsborough allowing Abby to see the chemistry between the pair despite them only claiming to be close friends. She tells Toadie that she lied to as she wasn’t pleased with being his consolation prize. Toadie protests at her truthful words however Abby tells him that it’s best if ties between them are severed. Toadie is stunned by the sudden development though he finds himself drawn to Steph after many moments of contemplation. Steph resists his suggestions of a relationship at first however Toadie’s admission that he loves her breaks the barriers between them. Steph is a little taken aback by Toadie’s suggestion that they take things slow after the rushed fling they embarked on at the beginning of the year.

Steiger gets a letter of acceptance of his request to serve on the regional assistance mission on the Solomon Islands which are to the east of Papua New Guinea. Taking part would see Steiger leave Ramsay Street for a few months and the news proves hard for Janelle to handle. She puts on a brave face initially but admits to Steiger that she would prefer it if he pointing out that she needs all the support she can at the moment and can’t afford to loose another person she loves.
