Elle and Oliver out scheme Paul successfully as their plan to create a feeling of security and exploit it works. Paul believes his own plan to push Elle and Oliver together to allow access Oliver’s family fortune is working thanks to their announcement they are engaged. Paul focuses on the engagement as Elle and Oliver finalise their scheme which acts as pay back for Paul ruining their relationships with Dylan and Carmella. They visit Janelle and convince her to work with them to bring Paul down. To do so they arrange for Janelle to cause a scene in front of Paul insisting that she will never sell her stake in Lassiters whilst Paul is a share holder. They leave Paul to think on this and later suggest that he temporarily sign his shares over to Oliver to placate Janelle. She will then sell her shares to Oliver who will return them all to Paul. Paul is slow to agree to this suggestion however he dismisses the risks as he considers Oliver to be family. The papers are drawn up quickly and the truth is revealed the following day at an engagement party organised by Paul in the dining room of Lassiters. Oliver and Elle keep silent initially and let Paul toast to the happy couple. Elle then calls attention to herself and outlines how she and Oliver have finished Paul. She begins by announcing that she knows about how Paul set Dylan and Carmella up so he could access Oliver’s wealth. As Paul attempts to frame a reply she deftly informs him that he has lost his stake in Lassiters. Oliver possesses both Paul’s and the Timmins’s shares in the company and he will sign these over to Elle rather than Paul. Elle insists that the actions were for her fathers own good and offer him a fresh start in life.

Sky finds herself on her back foot as a furious Bree confronts her as Sky begins to scatter Stingray’s ashes at the skate park. Bree stops her insisting that it’s not up to Sky to decide Stingray’s final fate. Sky insists that, according to Terrance, being scattered at the skate park is what Stingray wants. Bree disputes this and resists Sky’s suggestion that she was closer to Stingray and so knows what he would have wanted. Bree seizes the ashes from Sky and asks her to stay away from her family until she has sorted herself out. Bree attempts to return the ashes without anyone noticing however Janelle spots her and realises it was Sky’s doing. She confronts Sky at the General Store. Sky is unapologetic and instead suggests that Janelle meets Terrance assuring her that she will back off if Janelle is still against Spiritualism after the meeting.

John Allen contacts Lolly and then Lou asking Lolly to return home. Lou struggles with the demand and is frustrated as he realises that Lolly hasn’t come to him with the news. He admits to Harold that he really doesn’t want Lolly to go but he finds himself encouraging her to make a decision without pressure from him. Lolly tells Lou that she will have an answer by the end of the week.

Carmella continues to struggle to balance her work and sleep despite help from Dr Stone. The medicine given to her by the doctor for insomnia seems to be causing various side effects. Carmella experiences mood swings being full of energy for several hours before becoming deflated and frustrated. Carmella fails to make the possible link between the pills and her recent problems and continues to take liberal dosages of everything prescribed to her.
