Rachel, Zeke, Lolly and Ringo join their classmates on a special camping weekend in the outback. Tom Scully is leading the trip in his role as school principle. Susan is a last minute addition after another teacher is forced to drop out of her role as supervisor on the trip. Rachel and Zeke seem troubled by this development and tension remains between Susan and Tom. Ringo pushes Zeke towards immaturity as he sets in place several pranks for Rachel and Lolly. Zeke is sceptical at first but quickly switches to Ringo’s view as they plant a plastic snake in the girl’s tent and cheat in the orienteering task to save time. Ringo’s words that Zeke may be interest in Lolly play on Zeke’s mind despite his insistence that he is committed to Bree. He falters as the group strip down to swimming costumes for a swim in the river at the end of the orienteering task. Zeke excuses himself from the swim and struggles to keep his mind from straying to romance when he is alone with Lolly.

Pepper continues to be held captive by Mary who offers new glimpses into her state of mind and the reasoning for holding Pepper. Mary seems desperate to return to the happier days when Pepper and Kevin were dating as teenagers. After Pepper left both Casey’s had their lives tail off dramatically and Mary seems keen to get things back on track. She is oblivious to Pepper’s reasoning and Pepper begins to say the subdued apologies Mary seems to want to hear from her. This changes as Pepper notices a phone left in shopping bag Mary had brought into Pepper’s room with her. Pepper shuffles over to the bag whilst still bound to the chair Mary has kept her tied to since the beginning of her captivity. Pepper tips the chair and manages to get the phone. She calls Rosetta however the line is bad and he cries for help aren’t noticed by Rosetta. The noise brings Mary to the door and she quickly reaches Pepper and switches off the phone chastising Pepper as she does.

Rosetta and Frazer commit to their growing romantic relationship. Frazer remains uneasy as he feels he may not be able to give her all aspects of the relationship due to his lower body paralysis. Rosetta waves this away and, as they lie on the number 30 sofa together, she tells him that she loves him.
