Zeke’s frustration grows as he believes Karl is sitting on the sidelines rather than battling for Susan’s love. Karl has relaxed after his confrontation with Tom in which he realised that Tom was trying to goad him into destroying his relationship as that is the only way Tom could ease his way into Susan’s life again. Rachel suggest that Tom should be made to pay for what he is doing to Karl and Susan and Bree jumps at the opportunity to battle against him. She, Rachel and Ringo implement several pranks as they arrive at school. They put mouldy food in his office, place drawing pins on his chair and write “thou shalt not commit adultery” on the chalk board before class begins. Tom accepts the pranks though Zeke and Rachel manage to rally much of their classmates to the cause and Tom is forced into instant unpopularity. Zeke’s anger consumes him as Tom invites someone to talk about how their egg child rearing assignment is going. Zeke gets to his feet slowly and stiffly points out that their baby egg has thrived due to the family environment provided for it. His words turn into criticisms about how Tom seems to be actively attempting to split the Kennedy-Kinski family unit apart. Tom attempts to quieten Zeke as he realises the personal attack. Zeke remains standing and throws his egg at Tom, forcing the teacher to duck as the egg flies towards him and smashes against the chalk board at the front of the class. Tom calls in Karl to discuss Zeke’s behaviour. Karl asks for a quiet word with Zeke and he attempts to dispel Zeke’s worry that their family is failing. Karl points out that he has back away from Susan to allow her time to collect her thoughts. He explains that he realises that he drove her away, but that there problems can and will be worked through once she returns.
Charlotte continues to flirt with Frazer despite his deepening relationship with Rosetta. Charlotte attempts to cause a rift between the pair by mentioning that she and Frazer know each other forcing Frazer to admit that they had dated when they were younger. This doesn’t cause the desired argument though and Charlotte pursues more drastic measures. Whilst Frazer and Rosetta are out from the office she deletes and important piece of work Rossetta had been working on due to a deadline later in the day. The loss of the file puts an end to Rosetta’s plans to take Frazer to the race track as she has to stay at work and create the document again. Charlotte joins Frazer at the Scarlet Bar and invites herself back to number 30 as she lies and says there are no cards at the bar to play with. Once at number 30 they settle on the sofa and play poker. Charlotte continues to flirt with Frazer and eventually leans in to kiss him. He pulls away quickly and tells Charlotte that he is very much in love with Rosetta. His actions bring out a darker side to Charlotte as she scoffs at him and informs him that he’s only half the man she knew anyway. She sinks lower as she heads to the door and hears the rattle of Rosetta entering from the street. Charlotte quickly undoes a few buttons on her shirt and ruffles her hair. As Rosetta enters the house Charlotte looks guilty and apologises meekly and insinuates that she and Frazer had had a fling.
Paul regains his composure as he is wound up by a young teenager. The boy snatches Paul’s plate of food as Paul sits at a table outside the shop. Paul is indignant at the actions of the teenage and demands it back telling him that he had to scrape together money to pay for it. Paul’s words are met with disbelief given the posh suit he is wearing and Paul finds himself divulging recent events which saw him loose Lassiter’s and his wealth to Elle and be told he has an aggressive brain tumour that needs a risky operation to prevent its spread. They boy listens and encourages Paul to go out with a bang rather than a whimper. Instead of submitting to Elle, he should fight for his business and he makes a dangerous foe as he has little left to loose. Paul latches on to the idea and they come to the conclusion that Paul could sabotage Lassiters as he knows the place expertly whilst Elle does not. The sabotage itself doesn’t need to be malicious, only enough for Elle to find herself needing Paul and beg for him to return.
