Charlotte keeps her silence as the police arrive at the Lassiter Complex to remove Terrance’s body. Boyd picks up on her strange behaviour as her murder of Terrance plays on her mind. As the news that the police have launched a murder investigation spreads, Charlotte begins to pack her things to flee from Erinsborough. She covers her tracks by cleaning the sugar jar she used to kill Terrance and getting Boyd to handle it so his prints are on the murder weapon. She continues to act nervously whenever Boyd is around and exposes herself as her purse falls to the floor and Terrance’s wallet falls out. Toadie has noted the suspicious absence of the wallet from the crime scene which, as Terrance was expecting to be paid for his consultation with Sky, should have been recovered by the police. Boyd wasn’t present during the discussion though and so accepts Charlotte’s explanation that it belongs to a patient. Once alone, Charlotte packs up her office belongings and begins to leave. She is interrupted by Boyd who breaks off questioning her as Toadie arrives at the office. He talks quietly to Toadie in the shared general area of the building and Charlotte listens from her office. She pauses as Toadie explains that the police are waiting for Terrance’s accomplice to flee the scene so the can arrest them. As Boyd returns to the office Charlotte informs him that she is staying put.

Elle continues to involve herself in Oliver and Carmella’s relationship as she battles her own romantic feelings for Oliver. Oliver finds himself accusing Carmella of relapsing back into her reliance on her prescribed medication as she bounces back from her embarrassment at the Lassiters function to secure a business contract with a notoriously difficult businessman. His accusations offend Carmella and the pair begin to argue as Carmella suggest that Oliver doesn’t trust her. He attempts to smooth things over but it is Elle who puts aside her feelings and reunite the pair. She talks to Carmella first who insists that she hasn’t begun taking the medication again and so Elle sets up a meeting between Carmella and Oliver. Once they are brought together they quickly drop their quarrel and make up.

Sky is left in a daze as the police arrest her for murdering Terrance. Toadie remains by her side as her lawyer and talks her through the formal stages as they happen. Once they are at the local police station, Toadie takes Sky to one side and attempts to find out what happened during Sky’s confrontation with Terrance. Sky struggles to remember details however she sees flashbacks of the event and recounts them to Toadie. She explains that she had tested Terrance and had revealed his lies in doing so. She manages to suggest Terrance was physically restraining her as she tried to leave the General Store and escape him however she cannot remember striking him with the sugar pot. Given the charges against her and the death of Terrance, Sky fills in the blanks and surmises that she was responsible for Terrance’s death. Toadie encourages her to think harder about the final moments of the encounter. He later admits to Harold that on paper things look bad for Sky. Sky overhears this conversation and takes matters into her own hands. The next morning she bundles Kerry into her car and drives off leaving a note for Harold and Lou in her bedroom. The note is discovered a while later just as the police arrive in the street to take Sky back to the station.
