Episode 5223

Fearing her father will die without knowing how much she loves him, Elle spends a lonely night at the hospital and Oliver spends a sleepless night at home worried for Elle. His concern eventually leads him to the hospital where he keeps a silent vigil over her. Initially reticent about his presence, Elle soon surrenders to Oliver's warm support. Having learnt that Paul's "Fox" hallucinations were caused by the neuroma, Elle starts to wonder if it could also be the cause of all of his bad behaviour in the past. As they wait for him to wake up, Elle punishes herself for how she has treated her father and hopes she will get the chance to make it up to him.

Janelle visits Sky in prison and meets her maternal cellmate Mary. Seeing Sky's desperation to have Kerry with her and believing Mary to be a solid support system, Janelle decides to overrule reluctant Harold. Using Bree to create a diversion, Janelle steals Kerry from the backyard and delivers her to Sky herself. She apologises to Harold for the deceit but he admits that he just couldn't bear to say goodbye to his great-granddaughter. Talk turns to Sky's cellmate and Pepper enters just in time to hear Mary's name mentioned. Janelle and Harold rush to the prison to warn Sky and she panics, realising she has left Kerry in Mary's care. However, as she tries to get back into the building, a riot begins and the prison is locked down. Sky is trapped in the prison garden while her precious baby is inside with an apparently mad woman.

In his pursuit of youth, Karl buys a home gym and employs Pepper as his personal trainer. Cynical Susan takes great delight in mocking her vain husband but some of his retorts obviously hit home. When he leaves for a run she has a sneaky go at his equipment, only to put her back out!
