Episode 5228

Rosie remains deeply suspicious about the amount of time Oliver is spending at the hospital with Elle. Although Oliver insists he's merely supporting a friend as she waits for her father to regain consciousness, Rosie worries that he's going to break her sister's heart. Frazer begs her not to interfere but she advises Carmella to nip this problem in the bud or regret it later. When Carmella goes to the hospital herself and sees her boyfriend warmly embracing Elle, she decides to take the bull by the horns. She tells him if that their relationship is to survive, he has to stop seeing Elle. However, in exchange for his promise to stay away, she promises to be there for their friend in his place.

Meanwhile Elle's prayers are finally answered when Paul regains consciousness. Unfortunately there's a cruel twist: Elle realises that her father has absolutely no idea who she is.

Pepper's hopes for romance with Karl's handsome boss are dashed when she discovers, to her horror, that Davo has the hots for Susan instead. To add insult to injury, Pepper has another session with her counsellor who tells her why she's having problems finding her ideal man: she's subconsciously looking for someone as macho as her dad!

Sure that Frazer is going to pick him to be best man at his wedding, Ringo happily fantasises about delivering his moving speech on the big day. He's devastated when his big brother opts for Oliver instead. To make matters worse, Rachel unintentionally insults Ringo by assuring him he wouldn't really have been the right man for the job anyway.
