Episode 5230

Janae claims her free massage from trainer/slave Ned. Elle finds her asleep on the massage table and assumes Ned and Janae are a couple. Ned tries to explain that they're just friends but Elle doesn't buy it. Janae overhears their conversation and, unsettled, tells Ned to stop cracking on to her because he doesn't stand a chance. The grumpy pair bicker for the rest of the day until they get an unexpected visit from Janae's intimidating future boxing opponent. She advises Janae to take a fall or get destroyed.

Elle starts lying to Paul in an attempt to protect him from the devastating truth about his chequered past and shattered family. However, her plans are threatened when Harold visits and starts filling Paul in on events he has forgotten. Elle intervenes and explains the situation but Harold is far from convinced that keeping Paul in the dark about his past is a good idea. Harold relays the story to his neighbours and Karl suggests that Paul's faking it to conveniently wipe out his past misdeeds. Elle overhears and fiercely defends her father: the tumour was responsible for Paul's bad behaviour and he should be given a second chance.

Having overheard Lolly say that she saw him as "one of the girls", Zeke refuses to talk to her. Meanwhile Ringo considers setting up his own fruit and veg business and is infuriated when Rachel chides him for not wanting to go to university. He reminds her that if she keeps trying to change him, neither of them are going to end up happy.

Desperate to keep his well-paid job, Karl talks Susan into going on a date with his boss. She goes but tells Davo the truth about their scam: she's not Karl's sister, she's his wife. In order to teach Karl a lesson she and Davo agree to keep quiet and find out just how far Karl will let his lies go...
