Episode 5239

Gail accepts the invitation back to Erinsborough but warns Elle that she's not going to lie to Paul about his past. However, faced with the "new" Paul, Gail sees Elle's point. He's back to being the man she fell in love with and she can't face telling him the truth. Paul overhears her and Elle discussing his dark past and he begs his ex-wife to be honest. He knows the women in his life are lying to him and he needs the truth, even if it sends him mad...

Ringo spots Carmella popping more pills but she lies to him and promises she hasn't taken any. Finding yet another stash of in her bag, Ringo decides drastic action is needed and uses a rural buying trip to stage a car breakdown. Stranded miles from anywhere, he reveals his plan: he's going to force Carmella to face her demons. Meanwhile, Rachel's fears that Ringo is ignoring her give way to suspicion when she realises that Carmella is incommunicado as well.

Lolly calls home and admits to Lou that she misses her siblings. Counting on the fact that her relationship with Zeke will bring her back to Ramsay Street, Lou gives his blessings for her to visit them. Unfortunately Zeke's not nearly as convinced of his irresistibility.

Karl stumbles upon an excellent trade off: he dispenses medical advice in return for free food from Lou and Harold. Witnessing how happy the deal seems to have made everyone Susan realises she might have a way to get Karl back to what he does best: medicine.
