Episode 5248

After an anxious wait, Mickey is given the all clear. Ned considers sending him to live with his older brother Steve, convinced that he's incapable of protecting and caring for his son. Knowing just how much Mickey has already changed Ned's life, Janae encourages him to take on his fatherly duty. With her support, Ned finally reveals that he is Mickey's dad. He's overwhelmed when Mickey embraces the possibility of a new life with his very tall father. Listening quietly outside the room, Janae is equally moved by their growing bond. Is she starting to fall for new father Ned?

Frazer throws himself into the pool and manages to save drowning Mickey. In the aftermath of the ordeal, Frazer is stunned to recall he actually used his legs during the adrenalin fuelled rescue. The thought of no longer being permanently immobile fills Frazer with confusion and he decides not to discuss his discovery with anyone.

Adam lies to Pepper to get out of going to the opening of Steph's new bar. Correctly suspecting that he's just trying to avoid her father, Pepper accuses him of hiding a shady past. Adam admits that his excuse was completely made up but before he has the chance to explain himself, Pepper storms out. If Adam is a liar then he doesn't deserve to have her as a girlfriend.

While battling guilt over his negligence as a landlord, Toadie manages to sooth Steph's pre-opening anxiety as she prepares to launch her revamped bar. It's only on the night itself that she reveals its new name: Charlie's.
