Elle is driving Paul's car to the Yarra Valley unaware of the ticking bomb beneath her feet placed by Robert Robinson in and attempt to kill her. Having realised that there is something wrong with Robert's actions of late, thanks to Izzy and Max arriving with proof that Robert had manipulated her words to set her up, Paul rings Elle who pulls over to talk to her father. She laughs off his worry and suggestion that she wait for one of Lassiter's company cars to pick her up. Izzy's fear gets the better of her and she snatches the phone from Paul's hand and screams at Elle to get out of the car. Despite hesitating at first, Elle follows instructions and runs to safety as the car explodes behind her.
