The 2009 TV Week Logies took place at the Palladium Ballroom, Crown Plaza in Melbourne on Sunday 3rd of April.
Dean Geyer, Margot Robbie and Ian Smith had secured Logie nominations and they took to the red carpet alongside various other Neighbours cast members (including Pippa Black, Jane Hall and Brett Tucker).
Despite the strong cast showing, Neighbours and its cast failed to secure any Logies at the 2009 awards.
Neighbours lack of success was also
replicated by fellow soap Home and Away. Home and Away traditionally out performs Neighbours by a significant degree, but only the soap only won a single award at the 2009 Logies.
Neighbours Australian broadcaster, Network Ten, did have some Logies success. Shows such as So You Think You Can Dance Australia, Bondi Rescue and Rove all won Logies in their respective categories.
The evening belonged to the
Channel 7 family comedy Packed To The Rafters and the gritty Channel 9 drama Underbelly.
