Neighbours Moves To Eleven
28th December 2010

Neighbours moves to Network Tens youthful free to air digital offshoot Eleven.
As the new season of Neighbours draws near in Australia, more information is being released about the shows move to Eleven.
Eleven represents a new digital
venture for Network Ten and is set to be a free to air digital channel aimed at a 13-29 year old demographic. Neighbours will be joined by a series of US imports including Charmed, Smallville, Stargate Universe and the Simpsons.
It had been suggested that Network Ten would initially simulcast Neighbours on its main channel and Eleven for the first few episodes of the new season to try and lessen the impact of the move however this decision appears to have been reversed.
Eleven will begin broadcasting on the 11/01/2011 and the first Neighbours episode of the 2011 season is currently set to air on that day.
Neighbours has been struggling for ratings in Australia for a few years and this trend has continued throughout 2010. Given reception requirements to pick up digital freeview the shows audience figures will drop significantly from their already modest levels at the end of 2010.
