Neighbours and cast appear at the 2011 TV Week Logie Awards.
The 2011 TV Week Logies took pace on the 1st May 2011. The award show in Melbourne saw a variety of Australian televisions personalities walk the red carpet and celebrate the best of Australian television.
Neighbours found itself up for two awards.
The show competed against the likes of Home and Away, Packed to the Rafters and Rush in the Most Popular Drama Series category. Margot Robbie was nominated in the best actress category against Asher Keddie, Rebecca Gibney and others.
Despite the nominations neither Neighbours or Margot managed to take their categories. The most popular drama Logie went to Packed To The Rafters and the most popular actress logie went to Asher Keddie.
Despite the modest performance
of Neighbours at this years Logies and the limited coverage of the show during the award broadcast, stars such Margot Robbie, Jordy Lucas and Ashleigh Brewer did grace the red carpet.
Network Ten performed more strongly at the awards with shows like Bondi Rescue, MasterChef Australia and The Circle all securing Logies.
Neighbours closest match Home and Away, which traditionally outperforms Neighbours at the Logies, also struggled this year. Charles Cottier lost out to Firass Dirani in the Most Popular New Male Talent category. As with Neighbours, Home and Away lost out to Packed to the Rafters in the Most Popular Drama Series category.
