2006 Logies: A First Look

The beginning of a new year sees the run up to Australia's biggest television award ceremony. The TV Week Logies take place in late spring / early summer and celebrate the best of Australian television and media.

As usual the Neighbours cast will be well represented in the nominations and fans of the show can begin to vote for their favourite stars. The awards are split into 23 categories ranging from Most Outstanding Public Affairs Report to Most Outstanding Children's Program and Most Popular Reality Program.

To vote in the first stages purchase of the TV week magazine is needed as it has been in previous years. These will help narrow down the possible nominees and allow for the creation of a shortlist of candidates. In a shakeup to the voting system the second and final stage will allow anyone to vote for their favourite show or star by texting or phoning their vote.

The 2006 Logie awards look set to take place in early May, more details about the show and how you can vote for your Neighbours and it's cast to come.
