21 year old Stephanie Mcintosh began acting at a fairly young age. Her first major break came when she secured the role of Sky Mangel in the popular Australian television soap Neighbours.
Starting in 2003, Stephanie quickly became a favourite amongst fans and she became an established part of the show.
2005 saw news reports that Stephanie had secured a 5 record music deal with Universal Records. This was followed by the news that she would be involved in a reality television show which would follow her as she went about launching her music career whilst still starring in Neighbours.
Things progressed quickly in 2006 as the reality show was confirmed and given its title "The Steph Show". In June 2006 moves were made to promote the upcoming release of Stephanie's first single "Mistake" which was to be released across Australia on July 29th. Stephanie's debut album was also named. "Tightrope" was given a release date of the 9th September 2006.
Despite following a well trodden path, joining the likes of global hits Delta Goodrem and Natalie Bassingthwaighte, jumping from Neighbours to music success was not guaranteed in a very competitive music market. Any doubts were quickly dispelled as Mistake reached #3 in the Aria singles chart shortly after it was released. Tightrope was equally as successful debuting at #4 in the Aria album charts. The news that Tightrope would be the second single released from the album quickly followed this strong chart performance.
