One dark evening in Erinsborough Lyn was on her way back home from Scarlet bar after a drink with Susan. Lyn was walking alone. Everything was quiet, to quiet.
Then out of the blue Lyn heard some rustling in the bushes that took her by surprise. She stopped for a moment and looked around. After about a minute she carried on walking again.
Lyn was thinking to herself about Oscar and how lucky she was that she had him. She was thinking how she would be so lonely without him. Then suddenly someone was walking behind her. They were in black so she couldn’t see the persons face. She felt a bit nerved by the person but carried on walking anyway.
A little while later when Lyn was about 5 minutes away from home the person grabbed hold of her and stabbed her in the chest. They checked to see if she was dead and left.
The next morning Janelle woke up and called to Lyn to see what she wanted for breakfast. There was no answer. Janelle thought that it was a bit strange that Lyn wasn’t in so went for a walk to see if she could find out where she was. Janelle could hear sirens so she went to see what was going on. She turned the corner and she could see Lyn lying on the floor dead. There was police tape around the scene of the crime and loads of officers.
Later on after the police had explained everything to Janelle they told her that they suspect that the killer was close to home.
The police started to question everyone who new Lyn. Everyone seemed innocent apart from one person, Steph. They thought that she could possibly have a motive to want her mother dead but they weren’t sure what that motive would be. Steph wouldn’t confess to anything. She stuck to her story that she was innocent.
Who was it? Who had a motive to want her dead?
The police were about to give up on getting a confession out of Steph until the DNA came back from a sample of hair that they found at the seen of the crime. The sample of hair wasn’t Steph’s. The police were shocked. They felt sure that she was the killer. The hair sample was in fact Paul Robinson’s.
Later that day the police decided to pay a visit to Paul. They tried to get a confession out of him but he wouldn’t crack. Eventually they decided to show him the DNA results on the hair sample. As soon as Paul took a glance at the results he cracked. He told them everything. Paul told them that reason why he killed Lyn was because she got to close to him and instead of breaking up with her he thought that he would kill her instead. Steph was off the hook and the killer, Paul Robinson, was behind bars.
