Rachel sighed through the open window and fluttered her eyelashes in the wind. She flattened her white blouse and carefully applied the most pretty of her pink colour lip-sticks on to her lips. This was going to be her first secret-date with Stingray and she couldn't wait until it began. Rachel sneaked herself out of the house and skipped down Ramsay Street, where she met Stingray shortly afterwards.
Stingray smiled at Rachel and they walked down the path together, enjoying being with each other, breathing in the fragrant silence. Rachel smiled at Stingray prettily and Stingray grinned back. They began to talk about life, Kym's disappearance, Janelle's despair, Susan's lust for Karl, Janae's wedding and Zeke's new obsession in footy. Rachel looked at Stingray and was transfixed by his beautiful eyes, they were so sparkly. They had so much common. Stingray was having pretty much the same thoughts as they strawdled down the pavements, roads and paths.
Stingray and Rachel made it to the local park and they danced among the grass, trees and flowers. They talked about Ramsay Street and it's residents, and how great it was that they were finally together after all they had been through. Rachel and Stingray knew about how much trouble they would be in if anyone found out about their secret affair. Katya and Janelle would be pretty annoyed, and Susan would be furious if she found out. But they two lovers knew that they would never be found out. Their relationship was so secret, so private, that noone would ever know they had even talked to each other.
Rachel and Stingray skipped amongst the trees and flowers, the rocks and their heads soaked in the brilliant sunshine and they smiled and grinned at each other, like five year olds. They were so wrapt in their love for each other, that they didn't notice they were dancing with each other right nextdoor to the local hospital. Rachel and Stingray grinned at each other and held hands as they sat down on a fallen tree branch. This was the best day of their lives- ever.
Katya Kinski was tired, she had been attending once again to that annoying Elle Robinson, who was only staying in hospital so that she could flirt and gain sympathy from Dr. Rodger McPherson. Elle was sitting at her bed right now, twirling a blonde strand of her hair, and fluttering her eyes. Dr. McPherson wasn't even noticing as he treated a patient right nextdoor to her. Katya rolled her eyes and walked out of Elle's room and into the cafeteria. She chose the best seat as she nibbled at her blackberry muffin. She slowly stared out of the window nearby and was shocked when she saw Rachel, her own sister kissing Scott Timmons, the boy she had been forbidden to see!
Katya bolted out of the hospital and right towards Rachel and Stingray. They stared at her in amazement, and at once she started to curse Rachel. Rachel began to cry and Stingray hugged her, her tears soaking his shirt. Katya told Rachel she had been forbidden to even see Stingray. Rachel told her calmly that it was true love that mattered. Katya told Rachel angrily that she was going to tell Susan everything. Rachel told her that Susan would never find her, and from this day onwards, her life would be her life. Rachel and Stingray turned and ran.
Rachel ran down the streets with Stingray. She was furious. She would make sure she and Stingray lived together for their whole lives. True love- was true love and she wouldn't let anyone stop them, not Susan, not Katya, not Zeke. She and Stingray would make their way to luxury, have children, get married and do everything that a normal couple would do. She stared at the beautiful trees and flowers nearby. It was winter, and truly a time for love.
